Reforge and Etheric Light
I recently got an etheric light from Level 34 Prison of Elders. I decided to use it on upgrading one of my shotguns, Rude Awakening DOA. This put my shotgun attack obviously to 365. However, I was told that I should reforge my shotgun in order to get a certain perk, and so I did. I assumed since there were no upgrades to increase attack power that it would stay at 365. However when I reforged it it was reset to 331, and I got no etheric light in return. It was very disappointing that I wasted an etheric light, and I think the reforging was very poorly thought out. Please change this so that other people don't waste their hard earned upgrades.

Also they clearly state when you go to reforge a weapon they include a warning that it will remove any ascension or upgrades made to the weapon. https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12411

The tooltip on the reforge perk states that it will remove any ascension on the item.
