So glad that now not only will all the legendary weapons be useless but most of the good exotics from year 1 are left behind as well. What a joke the people at bungie can't even come up with good weapons and when they do they make them obsolete so you have to play the game longer and the way they want you 2 to get the new weapons that aren't as good but didn't get nerfed to garbage level. Oh and for all you year 1 players here's a shader and a few things that everyone else will also have to make you feel special. Newsflash a destiny expansion isn't built on new players you idiots it's about maintaining the player base you have than expanding from there.

The problem is that is that when Bungie says something cryptic, you don't know if they're going to come back to address it tomorrow or 6 months from now. In any case, here is my argument for why all Exotics [b]must[/b] be made to be upgrade-able: Yes, I've heard the argument about how it is common in this type of game for new weapons to come in and make the old top-tier stuff look less powerful. What is unique about the Destiny exotic situation is that exotic items are... well, actually legitimately unique. They all have at least one ability that all other exotics just can't do. Therefore, you're not going to add a new exotic weapon that does the older exotic weapon's signature abilities, just with higher attack rating - that goes against the exotic item "bro code". Unlike legendary items that have 15 different versions of a gun with the same perks with a different name, every exotic item will always retain its relevancy due to that unique thing it can do. Not bringing it up to the same level as the new exotics is artificially pushing it out of relevancy when obviously, someone is still going to be interested in using that one item that has that special ability no other exotic has... if only it didn't shoot cotton balls.

All exotics should be upgradable not to fussed bout the legendary stuff and I get they want to bring in new stuff but exotics are unique and have perks that no other gun has or will have there's no issue with people not chasing exotics people always want them even the shit ones

This honestly wouldn't be so bad if: 1. Bungie wasn't being as vague as they always are 2. If they didn't just patch almost all of the exotics that aren't even being upgraded.

24 commentairesHas no one played an online RPG style game before? Old gear gets obsolete with expansions. When the level cap raises, with it comes new gear, it's how every MMO style game is and Destiny is no different. I put in a lot of hours for the gear I got, but I'm looking forward to replacing it with even better shit. Why else would you pay $40 for an expansion? To use your old gear?

12 commentairesNo one made you grind, no one made you work hard to get those guns or armor. You could have stopped anytime you wanted, you kept going. I feel bad that my old guns will be gone, but I am not so ignorant to say it's A ok to spend 1,000+ hours on a game to just get some special guns. TL:DR Game can be beaten in 1-2 days will all DLC completed, Raids included, your choice to put the time you put in.

Not bothered. I didn't grind them to keep them. I played the game to acquire them. In TTK I will be looking to play all the PVE content & acquire everything I can. It will be a fresh start . That is fine with me. I have had fun getting to where I am.

Have none of you played an MMO before? This happens with EVERY expansion. That's the point of playing this type of game. You should embrace the new grind they're giving you. If they kept everything, and added no new content, you would just proceed to complain about that. Embrace the change. Collect the new weapons and gear. Change your play style. Support the game that we all love. Keep your light strong.
