It's not like people complain about it in pvp?
P.s. Maybe this has been addressed but I just got back on Destiny after a few months.
Edit: I see, and here I was thinking Bungie only nerfs whatever people are getting recked with on pvp.
Edit #2: So now that Xur is selling it does this mean no nerf?

If you have it, you already understand why it needs a nerf. If you don't, buy one from Xur, upgrade it, and fire a rocket. Then you'll understand why it needs a nerf.

Modifié par Azazuul : 8/15/2015 7:12:58 AMHere is the way it has most likely gone in Bungies Eyes. The Ghorn is an OP as hell rocket launcher. If you have a fireteam with then boss mechanics were obsolete as it just tore through them. So for bungie to make an expansion with bosses that don't get melted by a fireteam of Ghorning gaurdians they would have to make them greater bullet sponges than they already are. This would suck for players without the Ghorn because they would sit and watch a boss soak up more bullets than a world war and probably give up. Their player base is dwindling, so they thought -blam!- it sell the Ghorn bring them back. It worked pretty well. They are still nerfing it because they want you to try and get their new weapons, not just sit their hugging one rocket launcher.

It is still gonna be nerfed but now thanks to Xur selling it u know it will be a serious nerd to the wolf pack rounds

3 commentairesSame reason all the old legendarys are not getting ascension Bungie is out of ideas for new content so they'll destroy what you already have so you can replace it with TTK reskins
-
To make the bullet sponge bosses take longer to kill, to make it look like it's harder rather than just time consuming.

3 commentairesI'm sorry it's my fault guys, I have 24,864 kills with it. I used it all up :( ~TheGreatNike

The whole gally required argument is the official reason bungie said it would be nerfed and I have no problem with that. I think the truth is that while bungie loved the idea of this super weapon that would keep the people without the gally grinding for months to get it. They could easily have settled the "gally required" argument by letting xur sell it. The truth is that it is OP for the current and new content, if they didn't nerf it and gave everyone the chance to own it then everyone would continue to burn bosses too quickly. If they left it un nerfed and never sold it but the new content is harder then the gally required would become even greater. If there are better weapons than the gally coming in TTK then I'm sure the same people that required the gally will require some other weapon instead, same dance different tune!

Because if you (must have ghorn) want to join my clan in (must have ghorn) any raids or strikes (must have ghorn) you will need ghorn because I don't like it if you (must have GHORN) don't have one. Personally I have one but I don't give a shite if you don't have one but the above it how it would be broken down my the F.B.I or MI6
-
I'm think bungie uses statistics to nerf what everyone is using the most.
-
People in recruitment excluding players with no GHORN from activities. Post like 32 PoE must have gally, guys asking for it in VOG is ridiculous.
-
11 commentairesNerf gally but they make this sleeper simulant do 8000 damage with one shot with 3 shots in the mag and it can hold 11 in reserve so all the ammo does about 88,000 damage

Children who couldn't get it within a week.

2 commentairesModifié par ZERO XVII 17 : 8/14/2015 5:27:19 AMBecause it has created a crutch in the Destiny community and noobs are abusing the sh!t out of it to clear PvE content (like Thorn and TLW in PvP). Example: "Looking for three guardians to beat Skolas." Guardians will join these parties and get kicked because they do not have a Ghorn. It has become too common and is now "needed" to even participate in various end game activities.
-
Because they want us to like their shiny new exotics and they know they can't out do ghorn.
-
So I will only recruit people who have the jellyhorn.
-
Its a requirement for raids on lfg websites.

Wow! Much OP, So Butthurt

The nerf is to try and make PvE more accessible to all players. A large amount of players are locked out of end game content because they don't have a Gally. Raid groups demand people with this weapon because it destroys everything. So if a player doesn't have one, their value as a team mate drops significantly. So nerfing Gally will make the weapon less effective at absolute annihilation which in turn will make people not need the weapon to run Raids as well as other end game content. Meaning more players can then access raids etc
-
10 commentairesThey wanted to stop gally only stuff and they wanted to make PVE content harder, but I have a solution! Instead of making the guns worse, make the bosses actually bosses not just bullet spunges
-
1 commentaireTwo reasons. 1: people were excluding people from raids and nightfalls for not having this weapon and 2: they didn't want it to be the end game answer to everything. People were dodging game mechanics by "burning" down certain bosses health. In other words it was too op.
correct me if I'm wrong though.
Modifié par B1GRich74 : 8/14/2015 7:08:21 AMCos -blam!-s are -blam!-s. That was cnuts.
-
1 commentaireBecause they're about to give us a massive amount of new heavy weapons.. How silly would they look if like the last two dlcs gjally was still the best logical option.. So my best guess is to add some variety.

1 commentaireIf you belive Bungie, they told us its from people on the LFG sites excluding players for not having it. But there is a idea floating around that this is the excuse they gave to us so that we dont just burn all of their new content. Either way, the gun was in a tier of its own in terms of damage.
