Stuck at Skolas for 12 (originally 7) hours AMA (Update: Killed him!!)
Seriously.
Edit: 9 hours. taking a break. picking up soon.
Trying to reply to you all but i am on mobile and also dealing with not getting disconnected right now!
Edit: Almost 11 hours. not done. this game is killing me.
Edit: After more than 12 hours, I give up.
I admit, I have been broken. This is not fun anymore. My team sucks and the second mine phase gets us all the time. I resign.
12 hours of trying hard and nothing to show for it... It annoys me. I am really frustrated and annoyed right now. 12 hours. Nothing. Nothing.
Edit: Thank you for all your kind words and strat tips! Also thank you to all angry people because you make me smile every time! I guess I will try again tomorrow. It wasn't so much the strat rather than our execution that was lacking.
guess I will look for two mentors tomorrow though. its 2:24 am where I live now so i gotta get some sleep. thanks guardians. hope is not dead yet. i guess. :)
Edit: people say it does not show up in my recent list. yeah it doesn't. why? is it because i went to orbit? i got skolas' card for killing him but not the triumph because we wiped on mines.
anyway i am not telling lies and if you don't believe me i honestly dont care much.
i have no time to get attention through petty lies. i could write a funny story instead.

The first week was fun now its meh. I just run 3 34s for the Elight each week. Barely worth doing a lvl 32. The chance of elemental primary drops are so friggin rare. More fun running VoGs.

why bother? it's a pain in the ass and the rewards are nowhere near worth the effort. not trying to discourage you but it's the truth. I don't blame people when they say they won't be doing Skolas again. it's terrible.

2 commentairesBeat the whole thing in 55 min. Here's my strat. It starts from the Pilot Servitor fight: 1. Equip Hawkmoon or any primary and put on a weapon with Surplus. 2. Only use your primary and secondary for the fight. Don't use or pick up any heavy which drops. 3. Kill Pilot. Switch to your rocket launcher. You should now have Surplus packets of heavy across the map. 4. Start Skolas encounter. Run to left. Kill Invisible Servitor and unload 3-4 rockets on Skolas. 5. Run to the ledge on the right. Clear [b][u]ALL OF THE ADS[/u][/b]. You can leave a couple of dregs but you get the idea. 6.Damage Skolas. 7.Repeat 5-6 until bonds are broken. 8. Once bonds are broken, keep wiping arena of ads and damaging him until mines. 9. As mines show, everyone stick together. Easier to juggle essence that way. DO NOT SPLIT UP. That's how you crash. Defender bubbles work nicely. 10. Go back to platform on the left or the ledge on the right and keep wiping ads then damaging Skolas. 11. Repeat step 9 for mines. 12. Kill Skolas. The toughest part is juggling the essence during mines. Use heavy synths wisely. Communication is vital. You need to talk, say how long you have left for the poison. If one doesn't talk or forgets about the timer, you're done. It only takes 1 mistake for a wipe.

Run left kill the servitor burn skolas asap run to the other platform but go in the room underneath to kill off all the ads watch for the melee captain that spawns down there no lightswitch this week so he should be easy. Once ads are done send someone to find the servitor kill it and burn skolas again his bonds should break by then go back under the platform and kill ads again pass the taint in a timely manner. Once ads are dead time your taint swap before you burn skolas so that when you do burn him and the mines come out have the warlock grab the taint and go to the furthest mine by himself he can dismantle it and die with the taint then self res. the other two are responsible for the other two mines shouldn't be a problem for them especially if you have a hunter who can go invis and get the middle mine by then the warlock should be back with the group the taint should start again and just repeat the process. After you get the second round of mines skolas will be at a sliver of health and you should be able to kill him without anymore mines. Take your time you'll get it

2 commentairesCompleted it last night in about 3 hours. Mines are definitely the hardest part. Everyone needs to stay grouped and coordinated. Use of supers is helpful (we had Titan bubble hunter stealth and warlock red to get us by)

Did u see the first stream with broscrub, deej and the other random. God I'd like to see them playing the prison for 12 hours straight and ask them again if they consider that bull F. U. N. !!!!?? They failed miserably. Representative of their own game. I finished skolas twice. That is enough. Nothing in this poe is worth the time. No, not even the weapons... And etheric lights are easy to get. => trials.

Keep at it !! Me and the crew I ran with had some trouble but eventually figured it out thru trial and error. Once he is dead it is very rewarding. Felt good to take him down.

It's obviously gonna be easy if you continue to run it with the same group over and over. This is his first time though so this is expected especially with angry. Also the problem could be his teammates. You could be one of the greatest players, but if you have two bad teammates in the Skolas fight, you will not succeed. I would wait until next week op. Sorry you have to deal with all these assholes
