What new knowledge can you claim as entirely your own then? Is not everything you learn handed down? And is there something wrong with the Internet that makes knowledge gleaned from it somehow less useful?

I bet most of those great minds didn't get an emailed article from National Geographic about something that further proves evolution.

What I'm saying is that most of these "enlightened" atheists on this site think they're that much smarter because they don't believe in a higher power. When in reality, they aren't making their own discoveries or theories about something, whether or not others recognize it.

The source of your knowledge is not important, it's veracity is. Theists are making assertions they can't back up, atheists aren't. Atheism is the more logical position, hence the perceived superiority.
