ok I give up, you win. No more ToO
So week 3 of ToO and highest I got is 5 wins. Yes Im not that good and I try to but just cant "git good". Yes I played since day one, yes I do PvE and I'll do IB, but this is to much for me. I realized that ToO is not for everyone. Ill stick to PvE and IB. So congrats to you guys that went To the Lighthouse and that go flawless so many times. I just don't know how you guys do it, but more power to you. May Rngesus be with you.
PS: even though I know im not that good. I never backed out of the fight. Thats for all that got banned for backing out. I know ill prob lose but i still have my dignity.
* and yes I did get reckt, but ill tell you what You & Me fireteam, we do some patrols on the Moon.. man I'll out patrol you so hard you will rage quit. And yes I have done many flawless patrols, so be aware.
*** No complaining from me, not mad , upset or anything like that. Not mad at Bungie. I did enjoyed the ToO
in the little time that I have played it. But man oh man there are guys there that move fast, kill fast and win fast.

Create a pool of dedicated winners and losers as well. Its not designed to keep individuals in that pool. But it does and sometimes people can't get out at all. So before you beat yourself up. It may not be your lack of skill. But their old and very much flawed system. May be the real culprit here.

Not when so many are getting jewels, messengers or even void scholars. I used to hate PvP, would never play it, would've rather done patrol missions. But I've come to enjoy it, especially IB. And I understand trials is supposed to be ridiculously hard, but that crap is just impossible. I don't care too much about going flawless again, just want the armor and maybe a couple etherics. But the competition in that place is just wow. Coupled with the fact that it's a huge huge learning curve of a game type. Of course everyone just keeps repeating, "git gud" it's not always that simple for every player, not everyone is capable of wrecking face in PvP, especially that game type. And/or some just want to be able to enjoy the game and not get stressed to the brinck of a stroke in doing so, cause regardless how hard you try or tell yourself you're not going to before hand....as soon as you load in your blood pressure goes through the roof lol

Just work on your guns man find what works my first trials was a joke all i had was 365 vex second real close going 8-0 twice (both times took a loss from error code baboon even though i had mercy) having a new shotgun and bad juju then went flawless on this last one and have many guns 365. And find a good team everyone needs to pull their weight.

2 commentairesRest assured that as the lower end of the skill spectrum thins out all of those mediocre players that tell you to "get good" will not have free wins to make it to the lighthouse and will soon be the ones writing on the forums that ToO is unfair :) You stuck with it longer than I did so props.

They are just things out there no matter how much training you do that you cant attain. 40yr here and only second FPS game ever. BF4 was 1st. I may never get to the Lighthouse ever and I have to accept the fact that I am just not good enough. Oh well that's life. I am like you I can patrol Venus with the best of them and can get a jury to vote my side in every trial (lawyer here) I have ever been in. But Trials.....that is my kryptonite Bad part is that Brother Vance is selling the Titan helmet and I want it bad!!! LOL. Damn you Destiny!!!!!!

The most wins I have ever gotten on the ToO is two wins. Two. And I really enjoy it. Even though I may lose, that means a chance for someone else to get to the lighthouse.

I've been getting better loot from the packages. The chest in the lighthouse is a bonus not the goal. Got my very first Hawkmoon from one of the packages. Couldn't be happier.

I couldn't even get one win. 0-3 on all 3 of my cards. At least you got any wins, that gets you a little bit. I was stuck with zip.

I tried it a few times the first weekend. I'm in the same boat as you. It's way too frustrating.... We kept going 4-0, then we would lose the last 3 every time. Too intense, wasn't any fun at all. :( Too bad though, was really looking forward to 8 win rewards.

Went 9-0 twice this week and 8-1 on the other character. Had yet to go 9-0. So my advice for you is to play as much crucible as you can specifically 3-3 game modes. I would also recommend to try new guns. I fell in the trap of thorning people because that's what everyone told me to do. I spent all week last week running PVP with the read death specifically for the health regen and the pulse rifle buff is real. I would say push forward and continue to practice at it. I'm not the best but I felt that this week I held my own in comparison to weeks prior when I fell flat on my face. It also help to have realistic expectations. If your not amazing at ToO then shoot for 5 wins and not 9-0. I worked with some friends of mine who I know where much better PVP players to help give me tips and tricks to use in ToO( final rounder need to get rushed/ shottys need to be waited out/ strats for moving around the maps / call outs/ not using buffs right off the start play a few rounds with the team learn play style then pick up buffs) It's all about repetition and knowing how to be successful for your play style. I didn't think I would get there but I did and it was very rewarding. "Eyes up guardian"

2 commentairesAdmittedly, I've only tried Trials once because my characters & weapons were underleveled, but the only win I got was the one I bought, so props on your 5 wins. And before anyone says "git gud", I'm 40 f-n years old and I've been playing since beta...which should tell you I ain't gettin' any better. Got all three chars to rank 5 in IB this week, so I'll probs just stick to that, but I'll always wish I was good enough to see that lighthouse once. Ah well...

8 commentairesI'm cursed too. I've done it with friends who always go 9-0, clan mates, randoms, and still haven't won a single round. Not saying I'm great but just doesn't work out. I think I have like 40 passage coins I have at this point that have gone unused...

In week 1 I gave up because I couldn't win with random players...I ended up trying again in week two and three with my friends this time ended up going flawless week two and week three week three I went flawless twice....it is so much better with friends the communication is better we can joke around and not take things so seriously if we lose a round we don't go into panic mode we change things up instead of being predictable....And to be honest the rewards that you get from the lighthouse are not even that good....I hear everyone ranting and raving about the messenger but I have two and I will take the Last word over it any day and the rest of the weapons are pretty much the same they are not really that good...The only real reason to go 9-0 is for the emblem and the social space IMO So don't worry if you can't go 9-0 yet...it will happen you are not missing out on anything to good

Well I will tell you I suck at PvP BAD!! but I chose never to play it before, I am 40+ years old and I like RPG's, much slower passed. However this week I decided to play IB granted I was lucky if I got 2 or 3 kills when I started and forget it between the hours of 5 pm and 11pm lol that must be the golden hours or something because most of those guys are crazy good. But after 11 pm it seemed like it was more my skill level I played a lot and got to rank 5 by Sunday and had a great time doing it. I must say for the first time in my life I am actually enjoying PvP. Now I just wish I could find a few people to do ToO with.

3 commentairesWhy can't people understand that the Lighthouse isn't the only thing obtained from Trials of Osiris. After 5 (I think) wins, you can get a cool piece of gear with 42 light. And at 6 (I think) wins, you can get some pretty decent weapons. Also, by 8 wins you can get 2 etheric light (I'm not sure when the 1st one is obtained). If you suck at PvP, don't make the Lighthouse your goal. Take baby steps. Develop strategies, make friends, and actually have fun.
