After trying skolas with void burn for over 2 hours and getting screwed by the mines, we has to throw in the towel. Now, those hours of progress are lost because the end boss is an unfair fight. I know I'm not the only one, heck, Bungie couldn't even beat their OWN GAME in the live reveal. They made it, they know the mechanics, yet they cannot beat it. I have been an avid Destiny player from the start, but prison of elders is slowly pushing me away from this game. Maybe I'll try again next dlc.

Remember how hard the raids werr the first few weeks they came out? It just takes practice and coordination keep trying and im sure you will get it. Youve got all week
-
You can't just throw bullets at it. It takes strategy and cooperation. Beat it 3 times this week. 7 tries, 3 tries and then 1 try. Each time got easier because we had formulated the perfect strategy.

2 commentairesModifié par Corrick II : 6/4/2015 10:59:42 PMJudging by most of the comments and watching a bunch of videos, you basically have to be max level with max weapons and max uber l33t t3h r0x0rz to beat this boss. Cool. Skolas, see you next year. Also, isn't it kind of funny that for months people worried that the "boss" in House of Wolves would turn out to just another bigger version of a normal character... and it turned out to be exactly that? Nice one Bungie. You're doin' a good job.

Modifié par Un1337ninj4 : 6/4/2015 11:15:06 PMNope, I like this. Keeps me working for the goods instead of hearing the 'Lock immediately exclaim "Oh hei guise lemme chez dis righ' quick K?".

Good it shouldnt be easy!! People are beating it one way or another so its not broken. It is not supposed to be accessible to everyone. Keep it hard, make me work for it. Finally some content that wont be a weekly reset grind. (Looking at you vog)
-
Did it on the first try in 3 minutes. All using void snipers 365 (efrideets spear). This week is easy compared to last when everything (minus Skolas) did arc damage (arc burn). Make sure you have a Titan with weapons of light and illuminated.

If it was easy nobody would keep playing. Just need a solid team that communicates.

1 commentaire
Bungie couldn't even beat their OWN GAME in the live reveal.
Dude... What are they supposed to do in a Live Reveal?! Go on and beat it to show everyone how it's done and how easy it is?
-
5 commentairesThey say this void burn is by far the easiest
-
It just takes practice and a good team. It also matters that everyone's weapons are good and that everyone works well together. Sure it's hard, but if you don't like hard, go play Mario or something. End game stuff in a real game IS SUPPOSED TO BE HARD. ;) Keep trying. You'll get it.
-
Sorry the games hard for you.
-
Void: snipe him with her benevolence until the chains are broken and continue to truth him down. Don't forget illuminate, bastion, and weapons
-
He is an easy kill in under a minute if you have a 3 good players that can snipe
-
1. the players at bungie were not actually attempting to beat it because they didnt want people seeing ways to beat the bosses before the dlc was even out 2. there has been many many completions on void skolas, all it takes is 3 void snipers just like the arc skolas, don't believe go on YouTube
-
7 commentairesHow to beat Skolas when the burn is: Solar: u just need 3 GHorn and one weapons of light. Void: u just need 3 truth and one weapons of light. Arc: u just need 3 arc Radegast Fury with those perks: tripod and tracking + one weapons of light. *u need to be 3 lvl 34 That's it.
-
This weeks void burn skolas is the easiest it's been so far, the only difficult one was arc but even then, it was doable
-
I agree. So unfair of Bungie to put burns on. Skolas doesn't stand a chance.
-
4 commentairesDon't post on the forums about stuff like this. Nothing but rude assholes commenting and talking shit. Yes the fight is hard just keep trying. I struggled alot too. NO one on the forums will agree when you say something is to hard. All they will say is that you suck, your crying and complaing, "git gud" because people don't know how to spell, I mean I wish people would be nice, but there are just to many assholes on this forum.

Actually Void Burn is the Easiest burn because once you break the Servitor bonds there are literally no Void enemies. Also you have to take your time with him rather than do bubble strategy because his health factors into how fast he deploys the mines. What my team did was get him down to the "L" in Skolas which is when he summons the first wave of mines then stick together to dismantle them while passing around the poison/essence. After the first wave of mines are down clear the mini enemies for Special/Heavy ammo and use it on Skolas to either kill him or get him down close enough that he will summon his next set of mines. If he summons his next set while he's still alive just run around as a group dismantling and passing around the poison like last time. After the Second Set of mines there are no more mines to deal with so just focus fire on Skolas and you win. I'm pretty sure you can do this strategy on Both Solar and Void burn but not Arc burn due to the sheer difficulty of literally every enemy besides Skolas having Arc Tracking Weapons.

It's really not that hard....but it seems impossible at first. I was where you are now two weeks ago. I tried 3 times for 2 hours at a time with nothing to show, getting him down to about 25-30% everytime. Once we got out strategy and time down though it was easy. It's all about the right strategy and the right weapons. That's the best thing I can tell you...and youtube. Good luck.

4 commentairesTbh, the void burn is the easiest one. None of the enemies deal void damage. Although, i do wish that there was the ability to save checkpoints, like in a raid. When we beat the skolas PoE i think it took almost 2 hours total. I know last week my group tried for 2 hours on skolas alone, and had to quit and lose all of that progress. I didnt even try it again.
-
Did you even have a solid strategy? Because if you do it makes the fight about 7-10 minutes
-
4 commentairesThe fight was actually super easy, even with a team of randoms. Everybody should have a sniper with decent impact and machine gun for the last 20%, bubble is also useful but not necessary. If you snipe him the right way, he should get down to 30-20% bfore the 1st mine pops up. One of you should rush towards the mine (Bladedancer if available), make sure to grab the poison from him if the mine is on the other end of the map. The other two concentrate fire on skolas, either machine gun or sniper, swap the poison and grab the nearest mine if it spawns next to you. If you get rekt by mobs, one should use his machine to bring some peace to the saloon. Get 2nd wave of mines,, and there you go. Done it yesterday in the morning a few times, got 3 Elder Ciphers. My setup: -The Scholar Void scout (you won't really use your primary that much I fear, but grab word of crota if you have it) -The Supremacy (from the 2nd week of destiny queens sniper, completely unnecessary, just get a void ldr, efrideet or whatever good impact sniper the vendors are selling atm.) -Corrective Measure (don't know why, but it works suprisingly good) hope that helps!

Modifié par Adam : 6/4/2015 12:58:30 PMUnfair for Skolas perhaps. No enemy in that arena uses void weapons, other than the servitor who only attacks if you're really close. The fight isn't difficult, just get a good strategy.

Its not hard
