Edit: originally posted before matching on the weekly*
*the options mean you get to run it normal or with matchmaking enabled (many folks are missing that point)
------------------------------------
Myself- I'm all for the idea of matchmaking for these things..
But I know that there is a group of people out there who don't want the weekly nightfall or raids to be matchmaking.
-I don't completely understand why folks wouldn't want this? -after all. . I'd assume you could still run it as a regular team..
..only conclusion I can comprehend is: the players who've done it already. . Want to keep it like it was when they did it..
-are there any players who haven't done these events- that still don't want matchmaking?
Please enlighten me on this issue.
..because it would be nice to have that little bit of extra stuff to do (as a one man show)
What are your thoughts on this?
-------------
After a thousand replies it's clear. The people want options.
--------------
After two thousand replies, the evidence is overwhelming. Folks would support matchmaking- if it equipped with the appropriate options.
I would like to see you guys take some time to consider what options you think would be suitable for the raids specifically.
I've read every post and replied to most of them and this is what I've seen so far.
-Matchmaking or fire team
-Team size select (1-6) players
-Fire team lockout (stop others from joining)
-Language select / mic enabled
-Team vote to kick
-level select
-Number of completes
Also.. need to cap the amount of times one can complete it.. (once day ect)
Feel free to build upon this list- as I will continue to view and keep tabs on what you guys want.
*checkpoints need some attention in the idea department so if you Wana go off on that topic- feel fee.
* matchmaking lobbies or similar things I often see as suggested methods to get this done as an alternative to matchmaking

2 commentairesGo ahead and beg for matchmaking.... you won't use it after you get trolled about 40 times

I want to run crota normal with less than 6 people, especially if I am forced to take on people who do not know what they are doing and do not have a mic. Don't get me wrong. I am willing to help anyone who needs and wants it, but you have to work for it. I am not going to pull 3 slackers through crota just because the game paired me up with them.

5 commentairesCrotas End Hard Mode: 1) 32 Hunter:: how do i get past the abyss?????? 2) 33 Warlock:: how do I move forward 3) 32 Titan:: guys I got thi-(dies) 4) 34 Titan:: Why are my teammates so retarded? 5) 33 Warlock:: AFK 6) 34 Hunter:: Dies in the beginning I pretty much already hate Weekly Heroic matchmaking because my teammates are eithwr AFK for 3/4 of the strike, or they are just flat out retarded. Happens to me all the time.

1 commentaireIm ok with it as long as i can decide if i want to get matchmade teammates, the majority of the time you get teammates that drag you down. Matchmaking should be optional.
-
1 commentaireWhat they could do is only normal mode match making. And maybe only match making for the "older" raids. As its right that hard mode and new raids take a little more team work, which is their excuse for not having matching making in the first place. As for the nightfall I don't see why there is no matchmaking yet.

1 commentaireModifié par crunchycajun : 9/2/2015 10:59:42 AMAny reason Bungie gives for this is as insulting to the intelligence as Hillary Clinton's explanations about her email server and her classified email (It now turns out that she actually wrote email messages containing information that was top secret but didn't classify them at all, which is no defense at all). OK, maybe not quite as bad as Clinton's, but still bad. A random fire team would use trial and error to learn how to play and would absolutely successfully complete raids. The real reason is likely that Bungie doesn't want to add new servers to handle the extra load and/or they don't want to burn the extra bandwidth. Their no-matchmaking nonsense policy that has restricted things so that only 20% of players are doing the raids, really reduces the Destiny experience for the other 80% without a fire team.

Heres the issue about matchmaking in raids. 1. I still run into people on lfg who have really bad guns/loadouts making raiding with them impossible. Lets put 5 of those in 1 match? How will that work out. 2. I will gurentee you your gonna gey trolls who afk and will never leave till everyone quits. This forces you to go back to orbit and go through the trouble of inviting your former fireteam. 3. How will rewards work will people join halfway through the raid? Will there be matchmaking for specific cp? So they don't miss their rewards. Now heres a problem are the servers capable of search for stuff that specific as a cp? 4. It will open up an entire new can of complaints from people who connect to trolls or cant complete it because they cant get matchmaked into a decent fireteam. Im all for matchmaking but raids could have alot of issues. The reason why LFG is useful is because atleast ik im going to get people who want to do the raid and wont freeload. They took the time to look for a fireteam making more insuring that they will try. The biggest issue i have is how lazy people really are im pretty positive 90% of us have smart phones that can easily go on an lfg site for 5 minutes and get a team. Yeah ik its inconvenient yes but it doesnt take very long when your by yourself. Thats just my arguement against it. If it was there i wouldnt use it anyways so.

2 commentairesSeeing you haven't done any raids on hard I see why you Want it and all I have to say to you is my psn is DocEvil1996. I'll get you through crota an vog... But not poe.. I hate poe.

I wouldn't mind optional matchmaking, but I will never support forced matchmaking for endgame activities. Almost every week I run into someone on the weekly heroic who is either AFK, or plays like they have no idea what to do. Forced matchmaking for raids would be terrible, especially when people don't have mics or don't know how to work together.

1 commentaireNightfall is fine. Raid? Absolutely not. If you have tried to run a raid with a random group of people, get stuck at a certain spot for hours, then the first try with a different group you complete it with ease. No I don't like the idea of going through a rage inducing group that doesn't listen and waste my time.
-
It's so easy to go on my phone and get a raid/nightfall group. This makes it easier to filter players. Think of it less as no matchmaking and more as customized matchmaking.
-
2 commentairesNightfalls i'm okay with match making, since in ttk it wont send you to orbit if you guys wipe lol. but raids are another matter, raids are about communication and with matchmaking that can be hard to do.

1 commentaireBump if matchmaking should be optional
-
1 commentairei can see the argument from both sides of the fence. im of the opinion it should be optional in game, with check lists..if its optional, everyone is happy, and the people who are so opposed to matchmaking will never have to use the option, and therefore never be effected by it.
-
I'm not speaking for everybody, but for me… As much as I hate going to an LFG site to find people to play with, I hate the random matchmaking even more. I think I've only completed 4 or 5 weekly strike since it switched to matchmaking, and those have been as a full fire team. I am just tired of dealing with randoms who are afk or not playing how I like to.
-
1 commentaireYou remember when you gpt legendaries usually from Heroic? Then came matchmaking.
-
Checkpoints are an easy fix, just make it that you can only enter a checkpoint if you have cleared it yourself (can be with an fireteam) that way a raid completion is actually completing the whole raid and not checkpoint abuse
-
Optional matchmaking would be fine at least then you have made a choice to play with rando's. I would no be onboard with forced matchmaking

2 commentairesWhat's wrong with lfg? I have tons of people I can run raids with and the majority of them I met off lfg sites. The only people I've ever seen get kicked out of the hundreds of lfg groups are people who are both inexperienced and refuse to listen to any directions or are complete a-holes.
-
1 commentaireDestiny is become too geared for the average player
-
1 commentaireI'd rathetr have something like an area in the tower, like a Hub, where if your looking to do the raid go talk to the other people trying to do the raid, if you want the Nightfall go to the area with the nightfall people, Esch hub has it's own optional voice chat, but towee capacity would need an increase first.

Modifié par TechRonin : 9/2/2015 9:05:06 PMYou cannot kick someone from matchmaking which means you are stuck with a bad player who cannot follow directions and you open it up to AFK'ers. Also if a fireteam member gets disconnected they could be replaced with a rando and lose their spot
-
1 commentaireOne word. Trolls. How would you feel if some jackass in fire team and decides to screw with you? Example... purposely dies on Crota or doesn't hold plate on VOG etc. This alone is why match making should never be allowed in these activities. There are other reasons but the above cannot be controlled so all others are moot.

1 commentaireModifié par Ranger : 9/2/2015 12:33:11 PMThere should be options to change how you'd like to run it. I shouldn't have to spam on Destiny Team finder for a group that may or may not be good anyway.
