Edit: originally posted before matching on the weekly*
*the options mean you get to run it normal or with matchmaking enabled (many folks are missing that point)
------------------------------------
Myself- I'm all for the idea of matchmaking for these things..
But I know that there is a group of people out there who don't want the weekly nightfall or raids to be matchmaking.
-I don't completely understand why folks wouldn't want this? -after all. . I'd assume you could still run it as a regular team..
..only conclusion I can comprehend is: the players who've done it already. . Want to keep it like it was when they did it..
-are there any players who haven't done these events- that still don't want matchmaking?
Please enlighten me on this issue.
..because it would be nice to have that little bit of extra stuff to do (as a one man show)
What are your thoughts on this?
-------------
After a thousand replies it's clear. The people want options.
--------------
After two thousand replies, the evidence is overwhelming. Folks would support matchmaking- if it equipped with the appropriate options.
I would like to see you guys take some time to consider what options you think would be suitable for the raids specifically.
I've read every post and replied to most of them and this is what I've seen so far.
-Matchmaking or fire team
-Team size select (1-6) players
-Fire team lockout (stop others from joining)
-Language select / mic enabled
-Team vote to kick
-level select
-Number of completes
Also.. need to cap the amount of times one can complete it.. (once day ect)
Feel free to build upon this list- as I will continue to view and keep tabs on what you guys want.
*checkpoints need some attention in the idea department so if you Wana go off on that topic- feel fee.
* matchmaking lobbies or similar things I often see as suggested methods to get this done as an alternative to matchmaking

4 commentairesNO! I like to choose who I play with, all the casual players would start playing and just slow you down, plus you'd always get them players searching for a team near the end to get rewards rather than putting the effort in.
-
Nightfalls would be fine Raids no played with randoms before never ends well most of the time.

6 commentairesNightfall matchmaking is fine, I won't have to use lfg for something that takes 20 mins. Raids matchmaking? Nah, I don't want to be stuck with 5 guardians that have never finished a raid. That is what will happen, teams of noobs will try to play, vets will notice that their team is full of noobs and they'll leave which in tern, makes everyone leave 1 by 1. We don't want matchmaking as lfg sites will be abandoned and no one will use it anymore since matchmaking saves time. 80.8% of the destiny community haven't finished a raid so the likelyhood is that you'll have a team that doesn't know what they're doing. Furthermore, this leads to raids not being completed as the nearly all of the raiding community wants to finish a raid quick and have no time to spend 5 hours educating noobs. Bungie if you're reading this DO NOT include matchmaking as it will lead to no one raiding.
if you want to raid that bad just use lfg, I don't see what the problem is. Is 80% of the community that lazy?
Has anyone brought up a similar system to mmos like wow? Maybe matchmaking on the normal or easier version, allow people to learn mechanics and get decent gear but not for hard, make your own group for hard. It being optional in general is a great idea, I don't see a downside.
-
32 commentairesit's because some of us are smart enough to know that hundreds of "listen to my story about this idiot I just raided with" posts will appear. There are enough of those already, they will multiply like rabbits if the implement matchmaking.
-
I'm all for it, but i doubt you'll ever get match made with a team that will actually be able to complete the raid.
-
bungie should add it BUT they should give a disclaimer. if you get a crappy team with no mics don't blame them. of course people still will.
-
I'm for the idea of optional matchmaking, but bungie hasn't ever just put in optional matchmaking, so until they would guarantee that it's optional, I will forever be against it. Checkpoints: You start fresh, everytime. You keep your furthest checkpoint unless you finish the raid, whereupon it resets. If you want to use a checkpoint, find a group using one of the online lfg sites (including bnet).
-
I honestly don't care for matchmaking. If it is added all I want is a way to turn it off.
-
People that already have a group they play with, and want to have some sort of advantage on the people that don't. Because human nature.

Modifié par oPROFESSIONALo : 9/2/2015 9:52:39 PMI'd still use forums so I kno who I'm gonna be carrying.

2 commentairesMatchmaking would have meant no more soloing Crota. Granted I only did it fully once and since then I only do up until I kill the death singer but I'm not carrying people through it. Nightfall? No thank you. Just on the Weekly Heroic this week a guy jped to the sniper area above the spider tank and instantly died. Leaving just 2 of us to finish that part. Granted we did finish it first try but still the other guy was useless. Nightfall I assume it's 1-2 people dying and the third trying to solo it the rest of the way.

2 commentairesModifié par Sora Orth : 9/2/2015 9:36:46 PMHere's what I think could make raids work with matchmaking: -OPTIONAL -A vote to kick that any party member can start, all other members must agree for the kick to go through, and it can't be done if a member is in combat (enemy's hostile and aggro'ed to a player) within a radius of a boss area (so a random isent kicked so a party can invite there friend at a final boss, though this restriction can be removed apon a wipe and respawn) shortly after a boss fight victory (so loot saves to your account) - a auto kick if a member is a set distance away from a point in the raid when x many members reach said point, to stop AFK rubber banding there controller to avoid the games in place auto kick -matchmaking during raids to fill empty spots from AFK kicks or manual kicks - attempts to match players of equal level and skill

1 commentaireI agree with nightfall matchmaking Nightfalls are cake walks on some weeks
-
If matchmaking was an option im fine with that. I would never use it but im cool with others using it to find groups. I feel like in a matchmade group, youll encounter more afk'ers and more inexperienced players looking for a carry. Or youll run into trolls that just slow the group down. I think if the option of matchmaking were to exist, and actually i think regardless a vote to kick option should be implemented in strikes, nightfalls, and raids.

4 commentairesAll game modes need in game lfg whether its match making or in game lfg (bungee if you don't know how check out guild wars 2 as they made the same mistake you did when they launched ). Press option go to lfg tab see who's hosting what and requirements they are looking for. Join Play
-
I would have no problem as long as it was completely optional no matter what, meaning it wouldn't be forced if my fireteam only had say 3 people instead of 6, or if I wanted to run solo for fun. I honestly think it would work out very badly for raids, but if they made the option for it and it wasn't forced I'd be fine with it.

1 commentaireIf it had matchmaking i wouldn't use it!

3 commentairesModifié par Mr Elbowseed : 9/2/2015 10:30:14 AMYeah match making would be sweet that way I can get grouped up with morons who die and cause oversoul or who join and are afk the whole time that'd be sweet. Seriously if you cannot find people on lfg here or the forum you don't need to be playing this game. Wish they would remove it from the weekly heroic as well

1 commentaireA majority of the folks I play with on a daily basis I've met through vanguard and crucible matchmaking. Only a handful of times out of the near 1000 hours of game play have I regretted who I was matched with.
-
2 commentairesModifié par monkyken : 9/2/2015 10:38:38 AMMatch making for Nightfall (especially the new version) would be fine, for Raids I think certain criteria would have to apply and something along the lines of /kick statement would need to be possible. Eg if your matchmade fireteam put you with an AFK you would like the ability to remove him and receive another player? I also think something like has mic would be a requirement otherwise I'm all for it. I think matchmaking should only put you with players who's level (or light level in TTK) meets the minimum requirement for the activity you are attempting to do. I dont think number of completions should come into it as this could cause people to be not allowed to join.

Modifié par SHANK_DEM_UP : 9/2/2015 9:18:30 PMI'm indifferent to it personally but what pisses me off is when people act like finding a team is hard because it isn't. All the time noobs I know are like come help me with a raid I need two people. I'm like go use the forum, it'll take 2 minutes. 10 minutes later I see him trying to 4 man vog. I'm just left completely baffled by it

2 commentairesGo ahead and beg for matchmaking.... you won't use it after you get trolled about 40 times
