I kicked someone trying to use the heavy ammo glitch on Crota CP normal
Should I have given him the boot?
I think this is the first time I've kicked someone from any Destiny activity. He was literally the only one trying to do it. He even had heavy ammo synthesis, yet flat out refused to use one. With a team of nearly all 32s, and how we still somehow failed through the rest of the raid, I was very aggrivated that this player insisted on wasting our time. Thoughts?
Edit: I offered to have him sit in exclusion zone with me while I farm him the 950 glimmer required to purchase 1 heavy ammo synth. He kept firing his hand cannon...
Edit: just so we're on the same page, this was on a [b]normal run[/b]. On hard mode, I get it, having extra heavy ammo helps. On normal, it's a waste of time to try to heavy ammo glitch when literally everyone on the team has plenty of ammo synths in their inventory.

Now that the Heavy Ammo bug is fixed there is no need to do the Heavy Ammo glitch. If the fireteam is about to die, pickup the ammo needed before dying. Also, You can down Crota with almost anything.

Why use hvy ammo glitch on NM lmao its just that easy to beat before ogres... Heck our team doesnt use the glitch for hvy on HM and still kill crota HM 2 swords before ogres. Anyone needing hvy ammo glitch at crota is a utter scrub

1 commentaireHell yeah, you definitely do not need that much heavy for normal mode. Pretty much only do that on HM due to the cooldown on heavy synth.

I kick regardless. The guy gave us heavy ammo a bunch of times now I have well over 200 heavy synth. Like Jesus people just pop one!

Its def a waste of time. You can buy heavy ammo synthesis, no reason to be cheap. Plus they fixed the glitch of losing heavy when you die.

12 commentairesYou know.. I burn through about 20- 30 synth a week. And that's using it excessively. That's 4-6 strange freaking coins. WTH are peeps glitching??? If he's the only one and holding the group back .. he is making the experience take twice as long, and stopping the mojo. There is a flow groups get, this is why it takes 3-5 wipes at times for random groups to get a good run. It's not because they players are bad..(generally everyone knows what to do) It's because they are not in sync, and nothing stalls this out more than having to wait for ammo glitches. Good for you.

Maybe if they reduced the CD on the synths, then people would be less motivated to do the glitch. 5 mins really?

I don't think you should of given him the boot. If he's excessively wasting time like after every single wipe (that's a quick wipe) then maybe. When I jump in a cp I pop a synth cuz I have no ammo just jumping in. If I see the group is wiping unnecessarily though, then I'm not wasting any more synths unless they start to show promise and it's only glitches that's holding us back. When i do glitch I typically keep my primary low all the time so I can glitch while we stand on the plate.

Tell them to use no land beyond next time. You can drain your primary clip 10x faster. It's about the only use for NLB in PvE.... Lol

8 commentairesIf you make a habit of activating glimmer boost consumables you should never run out of glimmer/heavy ammo. I can't stand sitting there waiting for people to do the heavy ammo glitch, if you don't have heavy synthesis then you're not prepared for the raid. If you're not prepared for the raid then you need to go and get prepared for the raid, before you raid.

I honestly don't care if the individual performs the ammo glitch, in the end, he/she has heavy to bring down Crota when it's required!

I agree partially with you. I have been unlucky on my Hunter and don't have Raid-boots and therefore only have four rockets and only pick up one rocket per pack which kinda forces me to do the glitch because I find the worst groups. But at least I have the decency to use NLB to empty the ammo

To me the people who do this stuff is someone who has never done the glitch. I carry at least 100 synths for each character, but the heavy glitch will easily give you 20+ heavy packs. It's literally more heavies than you can use. I have found a lot of people who say it just takes too long, but really it takes about 1 minute. I have timed it several times and as long as they aren't using an autorifle or pulse rifle it should just take 1 minute. I used to hate when people would do it (even just a few weeks ago), but a few weeks ago 3-4 guys in my group started and I was like well I may as well try it; now, I use it every time unless I am running sword.

Im never in that much of a hurrt. If its just one guy doing it I usually offer to send extra rockets and just chew a synth. Even with Kindergaurdians rarely takes more than one or two runs, so either way its not a big deal.

you get 1 heavy ammo glitch, to start it off. If you wipe on the first time you should have close to 7 rockets then enough for round 2. If you dont get it on the second time, pop a heavy for the 3rd. If you still cant beat crota after 3 times on normal. Go to orbit and try to iron out the glitches.
