I kicked someone trying to use the heavy ammo glitch on Crota CP normal
Should I have given him the boot?
I think this is the first time I've kicked someone from any Destiny activity. He was literally the only one trying to do it. He even had heavy ammo synthesis, yet flat out refused to use one. With a team of nearly all 32s, and how we still somehow failed through the rest of the raid, I was very aggrivated that this player insisted on wasting our time. Thoughts?
Edit: I offered to have him sit in exclusion zone with me while I farm him the 950 glimmer required to purchase 1 heavy ammo synth. He kept firing his hand cannon...
Edit: just so we're on the same page, this was on a [b]normal run[/b]. On hard mode, I get it, having extra heavy ammo helps. On normal, it's a waste of time to try to heavy ammo glitch when literally everyone on the team has plenty of ammo synths in their inventory.

I xurned heavy ammo but I still using this bug because I shoot like 6 ghorn taking down swordbearer and crota shield, and kill the ogres faster with more ghorn shoots

If on NM then its uneeded, but hard mode I prefer to do it. Since we will have to down crota minimum 5x. So between downing Crota, the swordbearer, and the two orges much Heavy is used. The 5 min cooldown is the most unfortunate aspect of gm.

4 commentairesHere is how it works: i pop a heavy synth get 7 Ghorn shots, 2 rockets per down times 2 downs per sword equals 4 times 3 swords equals 12...im out of rockets and this doesn't even include the ogres and I have to wait 10 minutes until I can pop another heavy...we are all screwed

Titans who can be 32 with ruin wings on do not run out of heavy ammo. Even one heavy ammo drop have up to 5 rounds. I have had to use very little heavy ammo synth since using these. As for warlocks or hunters, dunno.

1 commentaireSounds like you had more problems than just the heavy glitch. Question is, why was it taking so long to beat Crota? If it was on easy then you should of beat it on the first run, Glitch or no glitch. For you to kick someone for using the glitch means you attempted it many times and got tired of having to wait each time. No one boots on the first run. SCRUB!!!!!!!!!!!!

Complaining over random player's is a joke to me. I go in with weak or strong on either mode and some odd fashion I get picked as swordbearer. If anyone remembers the yugioh, its about the heart of a chance(the cards) no matter the cost of time, you did decided to spend it versus finding a experience player. I'm experienced with all characters so memorizing my role is never impossible but manageable. Gt same as above if you need help Xbox consoles only must name console in message for service

I wouldn't have kicked him, but this shit is annoying as hell when you're dealing with 32's. Every time I'm in with one and their doing it im like damn, don't you got any synths bro, wtf is this your first raid?!?!?!

Synth has cool down. The glitch gives you readily available heavy ammo during the whole encounter. It's worth it. And having people on the team with full heavy all the time is helpful for crota, ogres, swordbearer, etc.

He was a Hunter. When I suggested he wait and turn invisible, he said "why? That's useless." I started doing the glitch using No Land Beyond to empty my primary(takes about 10 seconds) because I was the only Gjallarhorn(if I didn't shoot two rockets Crota never kneeled) and I also had to shoot rockets to kill the Swordbearer. The host(Swordbearer) kept complaining that I was taking too long to do the glitch, even though I kept getting my ammo back waiting for another idiot to shoot all his machine gun ammo out instead of just switching weapons. I finally left after the 20th or 30th wipe(they weren't shooting the Oversoul on Normal) and the host complained that I was using rockets to kill the Swordbearer. I said the reason Crota keeps shifting before we down him a second time, is because we're not killing the Swordbearer fast enough. I even wasted 4 or 5 heavy ammo synthesis while I was in there. I can't wait for House of Wolves, so I can get my Raid group back. Playing with Randoms makes me want to fire my controller through a window. Man will walk on Mars before that shithead completes Hard.

I hate this. I bought like 300 synth because there's nothing else to do with coins. Sitting there while someone empties a gun is so boring for everyone. At least equip no land beyond or uni remote. Even then it annoys me.

If your the fireteam leader, and he's just being stubborn and annoying and holding things up, it's your call, although I am a huge proponent of the heavy ammo glitch (but really it's normal and if you've got synth...).

I hate the heavy ammo glitch or what ever you want to call it its such a waste of time especially when they empty out 4 rockets to do it. Someone has soloed crota normal just using melee and warlock grenades. Why should we have to wait because your to tight to spend a few strange coins. I do 3 normal and 3 hard crota raids each week and never use more then 10 heavys thats only 2 strange coins and i fire a rock every drop

dont kick. i would never kick anyone just trying to have ammo to help the team out. i rather wait a few extra seconds in the beginning then die at the end because a few of us ran out of ammo before taking crota down at the end.

I'd put him on boomer duty. There is really no point of wasting 5 others time if there is no need. The run takes 5 min and the glitch takes 3.....

Dude... It would've taken you longer to farm the 950 glimmer. Not everyone wants to use all their heavy synth and find out they're stuck with a group of morons who still can't get it done. We don't all have time to get 100+ synths and constantly use them.
