Finally got the Gjallarhorn after 30+ days, 70+ RNG exotics!!!!
EDIT May 26th, I FINALLY got the Gjallarhorn on Tuesday, reset day. I did Crota normal 3x, Nightfall 3x, and Atheon Hard 3x, on my last Atheon encounter, on my Titan I saw it pop up. I was ecstatic! I had previously got a Dragon's Breath, Truth, No Land Beyond, and The Last Word, the same day from said previous activities ^
The curse has been broken! After 70+ exotics from RNG i FINALLY EARNED MY GJALLARHORN!!!!!
After having Destiny from Day 1, thoroughly enjoying the gameplay and raiding with friends, I've decided enough is enough. I just can't deal with how Destiny's reward system is based off of RNG. Whose bright idea was that?
After getting my 5th Universal Remote, and 8th Dragon's Breath from Crota Hard today i was like "F*** It, I'm done".
I've completed every Nightfall since day 1, every raid since day 1, including VoG and CE on Hard with all 3 characters for MONTHS IN A ROW. And yet this game STILL won't reward me with a Gjallarhorn, even after giving my friends their 3rd or 4th ones while I'm in the same game. Complete Bull****. 30 days of game time, F*** RNG.

NO ONE has worse luck than me. Tell me what are the "random" chances of THIS happening?
Let me know when you get 56 Exotic weapons, out of 15 possible weapons, and have them all be duplicates, and not 1 Gjallarhorn or Mida.

EDIT: Such a toxic community. For those of you showing sympathy and encouragement, I thank you. The community needs more people like you all.
EDIT 2: To the people who think I quit just because i didn't get the Gjallarhorn- no that's not true. Hunger of Crota is just as viable an option. What brought me to my boiling point was the sheer amounts of Dragon's Breaths and No Land Beyonds i got in this last month. It's so infuriating how RNG was seen as a good option for what could have been an amazing game.

If you've been completing every raid and nightfall since week 1 then you would have had strange coins and you should have just bought the Ghorn...

While the odds of this happening to you by random chance are extremely low, the chances of someone in the community having this type of luck is actually extremely high. Sorry that RNGesus doesn't smile on you but most players have 1 or 2 items that have evaded them, yours just happens to be gally. I wish you luck in your future gaming but just know that nearly every major game these days has elements fundamentally rooted in RNG so I don't know where your going to look for a better system.

1 commentairePeople keep screaming about the RNG. Why don't people understand this IS what Bungie wanted to create! They even have a psychologist of brain behavioral studies help make this Addictive at a subconscious level. Dangle the carrot, just out of reach. The RNG IS working the way Bungie intended. It is set up to look at what you have, and keep that one or two items you are missing just out of reach. This RNG was created to stack the deck against you. To keep you playing. And many do. "Just 10 more minutes." or "Just one more strike. I gotta get it for sure." Once you grasp that, then you will realize this RNG is nothing more than a spiderweb to get caught in. I do not like the RNG, but I know what it is, and don't expect it to change. It is what it is, and once you accept that, then you can just game for games sake, or move on.

2 commentairesNot to mention, raid gear we grinded for to become obsolete. Again!!! Still without ghorn, 4th horseman, black hammer and hunger of Crota. Almost 18 days worth of playing also. There is no reason I shouldn't have every weapon. I've loved the game except the award system is trash.
