“Yes, sir.”
“He should be here. Should share a word with Jacob if you get the opportunity. I’m positive Julia would be glad to see you again; perhaps you could visit her in Charlemagne one of these days. It has been sixteen years after all.”
“Perhaps I will.”
Davis looked at his wristwatch, something he had been doing periodically since we started talking.
“Something wrong, sir?”
“No. Mr. Charlemagne is performing one of his experiments today, which is why he can’t be here today. I told him to keep us updated though.”
“Sir, Mr. Malen is requesting your presence,” a servant Exo said as it approached Davis.
“Well, I’m sorry to leave you, but I’m supposed to meet Galic about this time. May you be ever blessed, Exo-0300.”
“Call me Ithamar, please.”
“Oh, you have a real name now! Well, good day to you Ithamar. I hope we meet again.”
“Goodbye, sir. Hopefully we will.”
We shook hands one last time before he disappeared into the crowd of people.
“He really likes you,” Jacob said to me as he walked up. “We meet again.”
“We do.”
“How has Arcus been treating you?”
“Well enough. Davis said I may want to have a word with you?”
“Oh yes, about that. Could you and I share a moment alone after the presentation? You and Charles, perhaps? It is urgent.”
“Yes, sir. We can.”
“Excellent, meet me in the archive room on level thirty-seven.”
“Would everyone gather round the windows, please?” an Arcus Emissary Exo beckoned. “Would everyone turn their attention to the demonstration area, please? All Arcus personnel report to their stations.”
“Here we go,” Max said. “Been waiting for this for over twenty years. Hope it delivers.”
“Hi,” a familiar voice said behind me.
I turned around and saw a female Exo standing there. She had long, golden weaved hair in a bun on the back of her head and had blue eyes with a green matrix phasing through them. Her face was simulated. Not of artificial skin or rubber, but made up of some kind of digital membrane that was tan-colored. Unlike hers, my face was made of bulky, scarred, cold, lifeless metal. But Athena’s, Athena’s was flowing, colorful, soft, and warm in comparison of mine.
“We haven’t met in person before,” she began.
“I’d recognize that voice anywhere. Miss Athena.”
If she was human, I wouldn’t have been surprised if she blushed based on her expression. She was about a foot shorter than me and was dressed in an Arcus Tech analyst outfit, holding her hands behind her back. Her long heeled shoes tapped lightly on the concrete floor as she approached closer to shake my hand.
“I’ve always wanted to meet you.”
“Why?”
“I just wanted to meet you.”
“Who’s this?” Charles asked as he walked up next to me.
“This is Athena.”
“Hmm.”
Charles studied Athena from head to toe, and then walked away.
“Isn’t he friendly?”
“You have no idea.”
“Ha, ha. May I join you for the presentation?”
I hadn’t escorted anyone before that wasn’t a VIP…
“Say yes,” Jk-Bx whispered.
I looked down at the little Exo who was hiding behind Athena’s leg, who gave me thumbs up.
“Yes, you may.”
She put her arm through mine as we were walking over towards the window, to which I paused, not understanding what she was doing.
“I’m sorry, I-” she began, sounding embarrassed.
I looked back down at Jk-Bx.
“Just go with it.”
I had no idea what he was up to, but this wasn’t something I was used to. Her arm was like a twig through my own and she was a lot smaller in size compared to me; very fragile too. Jk-Bx and Bm-Bx had stayed behind while we continued to walk to the window. This made me very uncomfortable for some reason.
“It’s so beautiful,” Jk-Bx expressed with a fake sniffle. “Ow!”
Bm-Bx had walked up and slapped him on the back of the head.
“What do you think you’re doing? You do realize her dad is going to kill us.”
“Eh, he’ll get over it.”
“Yeah, he’ll be getting over our bodies when he embeds us in the floor of his base on Titan.”
“I’m more worried about Ithamar. He never made time for anything like this when he was in-”
“Shhh, we don’t talk about that!”
“Oh, that’s right. Almost forgot. Hey fellas!”
Charles and Max were looking down at the two mischievous Exos.
“What are you two up to now?” Max asked.
“None of your beeswax!” Jk-Bx spouted as he shook his fist at them before running away.
Max looked at Charles, but he didn’t exchange glances with him. He was more interested in the presentation.
We all came around the window and the lights darkened around us as a hologram was projected onto the presentation floor. The digitized man was none other than Master Charlemagne. Even if it was only a digital image, it was still a sight to see. He was a normal sized man standing at 6’ 2” and having a moderate build. He had grey eyes and copper hair that was cut in Ivy League form. His custom three piece suit looked professional and the blend of red and gray looked sharp.
“Good evening ladies and gentlemen,” Charlemagne began. “My name is Maximus Charlemagne, CEO of Arcus Corp. Allow me to apologize for not being here personally for this presentation. I’m on the verge of a major breakthrough on one of my projects and couldn’t put it off any longer.”
He was quite humble about his position. Most would say he was simply the best and brightest mind of the Golden Age. However, there were those who would say he was the least, seeing how he refuses assistance from the Traveler or has nothing to do with suspicious enterprises. He detested the fact that the city of Charlemagne had been named after him, and he was determined to change it.
“I will not waste too much more of your time. I would just like to thank the Vanguard for this opportunity to work on a project as grand as this. I leave you in the capable hands of my assistant technician, Karl Demmy. Goodbye for now.”
Maximus never was one big on speeches. The hologram disappeared as Karl took over the presentation.
“Hello, if you turn attention to the center of the lab we shall began.”
The room grew quiet and the chatter died down as a large portion of the floor, about six feet long by fix feet wide, in the demonstration area parted as a large figure was raised to the top. The colossus Exo stood about 12 feet tall and from his left shoulder to his right was easily six feet wide; he barely cleared the opening of the floor because of his shoulder width. His grey body was covered with thick, blue armor plating, but did not have a helmet or mask. Grim-faced, this particular Exo’s fixed expression showed only one countenance: Anger. White light shone brightly from where the eyes should have been. He had no hairline and his head resembled a skull-like form similar to Charles’, except it featured no nose and had long, set-back cheek bones with a closed mouth.
“This is Paul. We have been working on him for ten years with the aid of many businesses dedicating time and resources to get him put together. We do have a second Alpha series fully operational and ready for service as we speak. However, Paul here is still in the testing stages.”
Karl was in a security booth that was attached to the demonstration area. I was unable to see where he was inside exactly, but I could see other people standing or sitting around.
“Hmm, was expecting to see something more distinct than another Exo, weren’t you?” a man asked his friend standing next to him.
“Indeed,” the business gentleman responded. “I see Ithamar has a special someone with him…”
“Focus. We are not here to cause trouble. We’re here to see what we are going up against.”
"I was expecting better than this from a man like Charlemagne.”
“Just be patient. This is only the presentation showcasing how far they have developed the technology. No real action is going to happen here, I don’t suppose.”
Karl proceeded to explain the features of the Alpha series, informing us of the molten Orion core that provided the machine with energy, how the outer skin of the Alpha series was self-regenerative and very strong against the elements, and that his AI allowed him to learn and adapt like all other Exos.
“He is designed for combat specifically; you may not see any Alphas where civilians are living. We currently only have two functional Alphas.”
“Only two?!” one of the corporate investors exclaimed. “I didn’t invest a quarter of my company into this for only two operational Alphas!
What do you take us for?!”
A commotion among the crowd had erupted. Words of doubt and disbelief in Maximus’ work engulfed the hall with protest.
“Sir, please calm down. In a moment, I’ll continue and demonstrate Paul’s unique features and functions. The Alpha series can lift ten times their own weight and are able to communicate with other Exos via a built-in mental com link, but don’t expect to understand them. They are also quite agile and fast for their size, capable of reaching a max speed of 138 miles per hour and are able to jump twice their height without induced momentum. Armor plating is designed to deflect projectiles, but provides the Exo with flexibility as well so it may be kept mobile in combat. Separation of the plates do allow for blades or projectiles to strike his ‘skin’, but his regenerative membrane, as I have aforementioned, he can repair most wounds to his body seven times faster than a human can heal. Now for the demonstration: Paul, please draw your multi-tool please.”

Paul’s left leg opened up on the side of his thigh and he drew out withdrew a cylindrical device. Karl instructed him to show off some of the multi-tools functions. It was able of configuring into several things: A sword, axe, hammer, claw, javelin, straight shaft, or a shield. All were large and had multiple uses. Paul placed the multi-tool back into its rightful place and awaited his next order. “Paul, please draw your sidearm.” This time, the side of Paul’s right thigh opened up, holstering a rather large handgun. The same energy core that fueled Paul was built into the monstrous weapon, and was used to generate powerful blasts of energy or even fire solidified carbon. There was some commotion in the security room. It would appear that Karl had a change of heart. “Cancel that order. Activate security protocol 3. High alert.” The demonstration area went dark and sirens went off as red alarm lights offered minimum visibility. Three large turrets descended from the ceiling. One directly in front of him, a second sentry appeared behind, and a third to his left. They opened fire immediately. Paul stood there and took the barrage like it was rain. “Defend!” Paul dashed forward and directed the turret to the one on his left, destroying it. He then ripped the one he was aiming from the ceiling and threw it at the last one behind him. Then, down the range, a rocket turret flipped up from the floor, firing a projectile at him. Paul stepped aside as it passed him. “Halt!” Paul froze where he stood, a second rocket striking him. As the smoke cleared, the Exo stood firm. “Defend!” A third rocket sailed through the air, only to be caught by Paul, who returned it to the turret with hard throw. As the turret exploded, the alert ended. Only then, several metal cables sprang from the floor to bind the Exo where it stood. A large power surge then passed through the wires. “Neither electricity nor electromagnetic pulses can stop him.” The cables receded. “Paul, please draw your sidearm now. Place it in your mouth and fire.” Paul drew his “Grudge” and held it with both his hands. His mouth slid open slowly, the same bright light that came from his eyes poured from his jaws as well. The weapon charged up rapidly and released one large shot. No smoke was produced, but a large heat source was emitted, producing steam that poured from his mouth and around his eyes. “That, ladies and gentlemen, concludes this presentation. We thank you for coming and gladly appreciate your support. Have a lovely day.” Many of the people clapped their hands, nodding in admiration at what they saw. Some however wanted to see more. Firing a few bullets and rockets at a target was not too impressive. “What do you think?” Athena asked me. “Fascinating,” I responded. “You were expecting better?” “No, I was anticipating more of a demonstration against actual targets.” “Well, at least you have a good idea of the armor capabilities. Those were armor-piercing round used in the gun turrets and sabot armor-piercing rockets in the other.” “Indeed,” Charles remarked. “No, I’m not satisfied!” cried one of the investors furiously, getting up from his seat. “I’ve invested my life’s work into this. All of it! I want a real demonstration.” Many acknowledgments followed this. “Yes!” “Show us!” “Don’t waste our time with armor and petty turrets.” Karl had a concerned look on his face. He conversed with a few of his associates. “Very well. I should warn you: Paul is not ready for this stage and Maximus will no doubt require an explanation from all of you who invest in this.” “I agree with Maximus,” one sponsor began. “If this one isn’t ready, we should not test it past its limits.” “What?” another began. “Why show us the incomplete and not the complete Alpha?” “The Alpha Mark I is not for the public or even private investors to witness.” “Fine, but I- No, we require a real display of their capabilities.” “I am only authorized to show a brief combat showpiece. Mr. Charlemagne will not be pleased if something goes wrong.” Paul was once again put on standby. “We will need volunteers. Exos only please.” Several Exos stepped up. “Count me in!” Max said. “Wait,” I said, grabbing Max by the shoulder. “Don’t do this.” “Ithamar, relax. It is only a demonstration.” Shrugging off my hand, Max continued to walk into the range. “Goodbye Max.” The door to the lab hissed shut and locked as eight Exos surrounded Paul. “I don’t like this,” Athena started in a nervous tone. “He hasn’t been tested with targets like this before. Barron may have bested Charlemagne’s Sentinels, but Paul has yet to face them.” “’Sentinels’?” Charles asked. “Yes, Sentinels. Machines that Maximus designated based off of the Alphas.” “He made copies of Shoo-Lawn’s Alpha series?” “No, Alphas are not of human or of Traveler make. They’re not Exos either. Maximus created the Sentinels as a set of target dummies. Rather, he tried to mimic the Alpha’s mind and body through his own experimentation, but it was too complex. The Sentinels are just like machines or even Exos. However, the Alphas were different; they had a consciousness about them. A form of sentient intelligence that the Traveler couldn’t breakthrough or analyze.” “What kind of protocols?” “Defensive. They target anything that they identify as a threat according to their databases. Maximus managed to create a firewall to suppress it, but it’s quite fierce.” “We’ve been met with failure in the past attempting to overwrite the code. We haven’t had any human fatalities, but we have lost numerous Exo personnel.” “Max, get out of the range, now,” Charles said into his com link. Max wasn’t listening. He, like the rest of the Exos, was preparing to attack. “I must warn you not to use your firearms,” Karl warned. “Paul…defend yourself.” As the Exos charged Paul, he struck the ground with his fist. The floor cracked beneath him and those around him lost their footing. We even felt the tremors outside the range. One Exo regained his footing and lunged onto Paul’s back, to which he grabbed the little machine and threw him across the range into one of the windows. He continued to knock back the Exos who dared get within his grasp, kicking and sweeping his arms. “This is ridiculous,” Max said, drawing his weapon. Three other Exos followed suit. “Screw it!” “No, no weapons!” Karl yelled. The Exos didn’t heed his warning though as the rest drew their own. Even the one Paul threw dragged itself back to the Alpha. “Paul, cease and desist!” Paul didn’t move, but his mind was abuzz with thought. As the bullets ricocheted off of his body, he quickly planned his counterattack. “No, no, no! Everyone get out of here!” Paul’s head shot up, looking around at the many hostiles firing at him. He grabbed the nearest one and slammed him into the ground. Three more Exos forcefully entered the range by breaking through the safety glass. “No! Everyone, leave now! Exos, escort the humans out!” Continuing to take offensive measures against the Exos, an alarm was now going off and some of the people were exiting the room, being led by security personnel. Paul picked up another Exo and tore it in half and then proceeded to grab three standing nearby. Taking them into his arms, he crushed them. Max was all that was left. “So, you left the best for last, huh?” Max was about twenty yards from where the Alpha stood. Paul’s sidearm could be seen on his side warming up. Max began to reload his weapon, but the Alpha drew his handgun more swiftly. Max had barely looked up before the yellow orb struck and obliterated him. Those that were watching had seen enough and fled. Charles had already made his way into the range. Paul was looking through the windows from where he stood, noticing the other Exos in the distance. He turned to walk to the entrance when Charles dashed towards Paul, stopping behind him. He paused as he knelt behind him, looking at his broken blade. Before he could counter, Charles was hoisted up into the air, clutched in one of Paul’s metal gauntlets. “Non-hostile unit identified. Release relative subject,” Paul’s HUD directed. He cast Charles aside but was stopped when a hand, equal in size to his own, seized his shoulder. The second Alpha had been hailed and ordered to stop Paul. He was in equal size and had a similar head, but his expression was one of determination. His armor was black, except he had a large red painted pauldron on his right arm. The enraged Alpha thrust his opponent back as he made a grab at Paul. When he made an attempt to knock his pursuer aside, the younger of the two was grabbed by the arm and kicked back. Paul made a few more attempts to get by, but it was no use; this challenger was not only faster and stronger, but more skilled. It didn’t take long, but Barron, the second Alpha, subdued his younger brother and took him back to his chamber. The all clear was given after fifteen minutes, but most of the guests had already left in the panic. “Always was a fool,” Charles said, standing where Max made his last stand, looking at the scorch marks. “I hadn’t seen this happen before,” Athena remarked. “Who called Barron in?” Karl asked, walking over. “Furthermore, why didn’t he kill you?” Continued below

Edited by Hobbes92: 4/12/2015 3:10:09 AMCharles looked up at Karl. “I don’t know.” “Perhaps you can enlighten me as to why he drew a weapon?” “Why didn’t you have a failsafe in case this happened?” Karl looked down at the ground and rubbed his eyes. “Barron is the ‘failsafe’. But I didn’t give the order to have him called in. How did anyone even know he was here? He’s one of our best kept secrets.” Athena looked at me, though I didn’t return the glance. “What did you think?” she asked. “I think he’s still a little green.” “What would you recommend?” “Melt him down and turn him into many paper weights,” Bm-Bx jested. “No, he just has a lot to learn. Paul is just young and inexperienced.” We were walking towards the exit of the range when Athena decided to strike more conversation. “Where will you go next after stopping here?” “To Titan.” “Why are you going there?” “Special assignment.” “Oh,” Athena said, disappointed. “What is it?” “Oh, nothing. It’s just that I know who is in charge of special assignments there and he’s…rather particular about certain things.” “What kind of ‘things’ are you referring to?” “Nothing that should interfere with your next mission I hope.” We had stopped next to an elevator. “Well, this is where I leave you,” Athena said. “Feel free to…call me sometime.” I wasn’t sure why she was telling me that. “Why?” “You know, talk, and catch up on what’s going on in each others’ lives. Maybe go out…?” “Go out?” The elevator arrived. “Sorry, got to go. Bye!” With that she stepped into the elevator and was whisked away elseware. “’Go out’?” I asked, looking down at Jk-Bx. “Yeah, you know. Hangout, do something together. See a movie, go for a walk, hit up the firing range, try the local fair, or just do something unrelated to your profession.” “What are you trying to do to me?” “Noooothing,” Jk-Bx said coyly. As we were leaving the lab, we passed by the containment units that held the Alphas. Paul was restrained and a diagnostic was being done. When we came to Barron’s cell, I paused. It was completely dark inside aside from a ray of light, until two white eyelids appeared in the dark. He stepped into the light revealing his own worn, scored face. He nodded at me in acknowledgement and I returned the gesture. I continued on my way and Charles looked into the cell, but Barron had already disappeared into the shadows. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Fortress on Titan, Moon of Saturn October 12, 0500 hours Athena had arrived only an hour ago and hoped her arrival would go unnoticed for at least a few more hours. She was at her private quarters, changing attire and letting her hair down. When she was done, an unexpected visitor made his presence known in her room. “So, how did the presentation go?” a large Exo asked, standing in Athena’s dining room. “It got a little out of hand, sir. Temporarily.” “I saw that. Was anyone hurt?” “No, but some Exo units were destroyed.” The Exo walked across the room to a cabinet. He had a large upper body and was adorned in crimson and grey armor plating. His pauldrons were shaped like tiger heads and his Legionnaire helm sat on the dining table. His yellow eyes scanned the room for something he couldn’t quite find. “What are you looking for, sir?” “Reason.” “You’re looking for reason, sir?” “Yes, a motive.” “A motive for-” “I’m looking for incentive to not have you reassigned again.” “Why would you want to do that?” “Sit,” the Exo demanded, pulling out a chair from the table. Athena sat down in the chair. She could see two Delta guards hidden in the shadows, watching intently. “I told you not to get involved with him.” “I know.” “I told you who he is and where he comes from.” “I understand that, but-” “I’m not finished yet. I warned you what will happen if you decide to get involved with the descendant of an Oracle and Gatekeeper. Yet you persist to disobey. Why?” “No one should be left alone.” He walked next to where Athena sat and leaned on the table. His gauntlets glistened from the light above as he rested his hands, revealing old, black, crusted blood on them. “What makes you think he is alone?” “He is just like someone I know.” “Oh? What makes you think he and this person are one in the same?” “I don’t. I just know everyone needs someone or something to hold onto.” “He has his orders to hold onto.” “It’s not the same and you know it.” Slamming his fist on the table, the Exo changed his tone, but didn’t exert anger. “It would be wise not to disobey me.” He turned his gaze to one of the guards, who returned the glance. “I have to go. A meeting has been called to give special orders to Recon Team Beta. We can finish this conversation later.” “Colonel Mattias, we must be going,” a human voice came called from the other side of the door that Mattias approached. “Security Team Beta will arrive in the next few hours and we have much to discuss.” “Remember what we talked about Athena,” he said as he left the room, his guards close behind. “I will…father.” End chapter seven Thank you for reading. From what I could tell, the revisions were made fittingly with only a few cases where the old formatting hadn't been removed, but I thoroughly enjoyed this chapter. I'm not sure whether or not to think if Paul and/or Barron will be allies or enemies, and I suspect a couple of the attendants were in fact, Dudley and Cicatrix in disguise; the businessmen discussing the Exo and Ithamar briefly. But overall, Max's foolishness was his undoing, and it cost him everything. Guy should have listened to those wiser than he was.
-
Well, Paul is like a puzzle, but nothing that the Jigsaw puzzle Cicatrix is. What? Dudley and Cicatrix? You must be pulling my leg. Yep, Max's hot headed behavior finally got the best of him. What did you think of the minor showing off of the Alpha's abilities?
-
Definitely not as advanced as Cicatrix haha. I'm not pulling your leg! I really think they're still at work under the cover of shadow and conspiracy. I thought the Alpha's capabilities were impressively terrifying, which is why I have more reason to believe they will be enemies at some point; as in an object with that kind of power and resilience typically never aids the good guys, and a challenging foe is always the best one to face when the end is in sight. But I have to say, as inexperienced as Paul is, it can only make you appreciate Barron that much more. He's the one to look out for.
-
Hmm, alright. So you think they'll be enemies in time, eh? We'll see. What did you think of the conversations between Athena and Ithamar?
-
Edited by SaviorsBlood: 2/6/2015 7:17:22 PMI do. It could start off with them being allies for a time, but some kind of invasive procedure turns them against their creators and allies. Or it could just start off that way. Paul could go rampant and it comes down to teaming up with Barron to eliminate the threat. I'm not exactly sure how it'll turn out, but ultimately I think at least one of them will be confronted if not both of them. As for Ithamar and Athena, the awkward interactions was a bit humorous, but you can't blame Ithamar too much, since he's strictly a soldier. But it makes me wonder when and how Athena developed these apparent affections, because frankly speaking, I find it a little strange that Exo would have these kinds of attractions.
-
If Athena and Ithamar are Exos, how is that Athena has a father named Mattias? And if she has a father, she must of had a mother. But Exos don't reproduce, so are they Exos to begin with? Hmm...by the way, what did you make of the chat between her and the old Colonel? We will see where the war takes Paul and Barron, all the way from the Collapse to Gridiron.
-
Exactly haha. It does confuse me, but I can only hope the answers will find me in future chapters. I am curious as to why he's so antagonistic toward Ithamar, but even more so as to what Ithamar's ancestry is. These "Oracle" and "Gatekeeper" references make me wonder what's so unique about Ithamar in particular. Maybe he'll come to learn special abilities only these select few Exo can harness. I don't know for sure, but I expect it has to be significant. I'm also wondering what Blackwater wants to talk to Ithamar and Charles about. A side mission needing to be kept under wraps? I guess I'll just have to wait and see there too.
-
A side mission of sorts? Like driving through a drive-through at Wendy's? I guess so, depends on how dangerous the drive is. Being a child of both, but raised by one, only to be torn between to futures that bond them into one path...Ithamar has had it pretty rough. But that's enough of that. What do you think of the conspiracy around Shoo-Lawn Industries?
-
Sure, why not? Get a combo meal for the road. Hey, hey, hey, take it easy. I'm not in favor of spoilers haha, but now that the tease is out there, I have to wonder when Ithamar will discover these truths for himself. Conspiracy seems to be their specialty and middle name, but in order to keep conspirators secret they just threw a hyphen in place of it to keep everyone ignorant of the fact. While they may seem decommissioned, I know that Dudley doesn't go down that easily and he and Cicatrix are still working behind the scenes, most likely developing their bio-weapon for their terrorism against humanity.
-
Bio-weapon? Now Dr. Leonard would've disagreed with that. Spoilers? I hadn't even gotten to the Frosty part yet. But fine, i won't talk anymore about it. i'm running out of question adn I don't want to ask the wrong one, especially since I'm proofreading my next chapter and I don't want anything to slip. So I ask you...what do you think is coming? For the team, I mean.
-
He can disagree all he wants. I remember the lifeblood composition that Cicatrix exposed himself to, and I know it's not gone yet. I think it's only a matter of time before that becomes a threat again, but only on a larger scale. And do not mention Frost. I know he's a commander and member of the Vanguard. You're tactics on diverting or directing suspicion will be taken into account and I'll keep them in mind as I continue to read this. Well, they're headed off to Titan. For what purposes yet, I don't know, but Claptrap's cousins have made it clear Athena's father's base is on Titan (I think) and Mattias doesn't like Ithamar, to put it lightly. So, long story short, I expect a confrontation to occur between them. Perhaps Ithamar will earn his respect though when the inevitable push comes to slaughter.
-
Alright, we will see what skeletons fall out of the closet when the time comes about all this suspicion. I'll be hush about the lifeblood until then, don't want Cicatrix to spoil his apatite. Thank you for the read and comments. I hope you hope you do enjoy what comes after all this.
-
Alright, I'll do my best to wait patiently. Thanks for writing it. You're talking about this series ending soon, so I'm wondering just how fast the pace is going to pick up. Needless to say, I'm curious about what's going to happen when Alec and his team return as well. It's obvious this fight is one that has carried on for centuries even, since Dudley is a presence in that time as well. Seeing the ultimate conclusion will be one crazy way to wrap this insanely long conflict end.
