Gravity

Something has been on my mind for a while, why does this game not use gravity on it's planets? I mean by some of the powers and jumps we have we should go floating off the moon, does our armor keep us here?

  • You do have a valid point and it is a puzzler. Ignore everyone who says it's because of terraforming, if they paid any attention to science then they'd know that gravity is to do with the mass of the planet and not the atmosphere, so despite venus and mars being terraformed they should have lower gravity than earth, and don't even get me started on the moons gravity...

  • The traveler Terra formed the planets. Read some grimmoire.

    •
Bungie has some explaining to do.
There's a colossal sphere hovering over a city on Earth, Bungie has already explained it.

    • Overthinking it a bit but if the Moon's mass was somehow increased to account for 1 G on the surface, wouldn't that have massive implications for the relationship between Earth and the Moon. Disruptions to tides, continental drift and orbits. Venus has a similar size to Earth but Mars is much smaller with a lower surface gravity.

    • Well the moon is a stretch but earth, mars, and venus have roughly yhe same amount of gravity, but the Traveler also terra formed thr planets, and venus is also severely altered by the Vex so honestly its up in the air at this point
