Seems people forget that the majority of players do not raid and need ascendant material to upgrade their gear....

Exactly. I do think they should make ascendants combinable to radiant and vice versa, but I have so many awesome weapons and never enough energy.

Even not raiding you still can have a surplus just doing dailies and strikes or crucible for legendary drops

Barely... Hoping for legendary drops so you can dismantle them? Come on man...

Usually get atleast one a day. Other than that you can farm for marks and get a pi3ce of armor to dismantle fairly quickly. Also you can find groups with which to run vault of glass where shards drop like crazy

Ok so im either have to raid, hope for a legendary drop (super rare), or be content with getting 2 shards a week from dismantling vendor gear. Cool man.

Theres potentially 7 drops ( might be more or less) night falls have been sharding a lot.... [22 last week for me] you can buy armor with marks and shard it. Leveling up your vanguard or factions can drop them as well, getting rares can rarely turn to them. There are multiple ways, but what you have suggested is infeasible. Thats all im saying. And honestly wont matter once how drops and we have the same discussion regarding radiant materials Edit:sorry i have like 5 threads im watching and cant remember what alls going on. Im 50/50 atm on the shards for nightfalls.... maybe move them off the table and add them into the weekly heroic as a ridealong drop for strange coins. Thats the best i could give you to appease both ends
