Very good idea. To bad the US is too damn broke to afford it. Yknow, cuz they spend it on stupid shut an stuff.
Il tell you this. My dad works carpeting and recently has been on military bases a lot. He has told me that he has seen so much good almost new stuff thrown away because they were either getting new ones or it had a dent in it. They throw away $100 dollar chairs and the big heavy expensive doors like they have all the money in the country (oh wait they do). Short story shorter. The US government is the biggest, richest, spoiled, most powerful 'person' in the country since it was founded.

You are kidding right? We eat food that's marked "not for prison use", work on equipment 10 to 20 years out of date, every two years we get told that we may have to work without pay, every year because of downsizing due to lack of funding we pull 100 hour weeks to keep things going. We do get decent health care and if you pull 20 years working for wages that routinely fall below the poverty line you do get a pension.

They spend money at least on the ground level where it needs to go. The world is a nasty place, there are people that want what you have, and their funding is what they take. I know things in civ land suck, believe me, but if we were not standing watch you would have a lot less than you have now.

But yea i would do anything to root out corruption and greed and have them whipped until they whimpered. Then I would proceed to put them in poverty to make them live their choices.

Sigh* again I have not directed anything toward the people that defend the country. I have not down talked any spending for our troops minus the chair thing. That's plain stupid. I support more military funding for DEFENDING the country, not on new 100 dollar chairs.

Idk what to think about that then. I've seen the stuff they throw out and a lot look just about brand new. What part of te government you work for?

Also things look brand new when they get cleaned everyday and the people using it don't know when a replacement is coming.
