ICE BREAKER Warning.
If you've bought yours today, you deserve it.
Busting non stop ass to receive strange coins. Not many people get to play all the time or have multiple characters and for those who don't get those advantages it can be very hard but, you've stayed with destiny until here, and worked hard. You deserved every bit of that gorgeous gun.
The people who are butt hurt do not understand that it's random and probably fail at life.
Raids will be easier, night falls will be epic, strikes will be perfect.
I'm happy for everyone who got theirs today and if you haven't Id do whatever I could to earn strange coins or hope it drops for you one day.
I didn't purchase it when I first seen it months ago because I thought it was an old regular sniper, after a month or two people talked about it non-stop.
I realized what a mistake I had made and kept pushing through the bullshit from bungie and destiny and the received my Ice Breaker finally in nightfall this week.
I was super excited and still am, I bought 2 of them from xur so each character could have one of their own.
You guys deserved it, don't let anyone call you a noob or say you didn't earn it.

1 ReplyI've always been modest, So when I bought ice breaker I told Xur... "No, I couldn't, I don't deserve it"... But he would not take it back I now proudly have an ice breaker that i keep in my vault... I don't want to break it...

Exactly, I wish I was lucky enough to find good exotics. But I have shit to show for having two levels 31's getting good guns isn't about skill it's blind luck and I have none. Thank you xur.

1 ReplyYeah people need to stop saying that buying is not earning. I worked my butt off today to buy it. I had no strange coins to start off the day and I did all three weeklies, and the nightfall with a level 29 and a level 27. It was tough but we did them all and it payed off, I was happy to buy my ice breaker today. To all those people who say that buying is not earning, buying is earning and this is proof.

2 RepliesI am sick of people who said they earned it by random drops... That's just luck. I've been playing since the game came out and just couldn't get my hands on it while my friend got the game couple weeks before Xmas got it as a random drop. He didn't earn it, he just got lucky! I am glad xur sold it so people that have been grinding since the game came out could finally own one.

Last night was my first Vault run with Icebreaker. It was enjoyable again... While I used the relic quite a bit with Atheon, I did my first Templar relic run. It just went smooth, no more low damage sections because people didn't have good enough rocket launchers or snipers. I was hitting 12,4xx Icebreaker crit shots on Atheon with my 29 Alt. and it made the oracles smoother too. We died more doing the jumping puzzle than anywhere else. It was vastly more enjoyable.

Surely, the Nightfall would give me the coins I needed. Nope, got knucklehead radar, which I already had leveled up(was wearing it during the Nightfall). So no ice breaker for me again.

I been wondering about all these "earners" ranting about Xur selling Icebreaker again. Did they buy an exotic shard so they could trade in their 1.0 version for the 2.0 version, or are they going to wait until they win the lotto again and get the 2.0 that way?

Ok, I killed the boss and got the only guaranteed reward, xp buff, next up RNGesus spins the wheel and gives me a token prize for just showing up. Let's face it RNG is nothing more than lottery. It DOES NOT factor in player participation or skill. You can join a friend's nightfall team just as they deliver the killing blow to Septics and get an Icebreaker, get one while AFKing a roc strike, be the bottom player of the losing team in crucible and get one. If anything getting Icebreaker as a RNG drop is more of a handout than buying it from Xur.

I am particularly glad that the Ice Breaker was sold this weekend. I've had mine since the second week and I always felt bad talking about it with some of my mates. As hard as they would work doing strikes, the daily, weekly, nightfalls and raids; they could never seem to get one. Now, they have it and it's no longer a fireteam taboo discussion. Very awesome weekend Xur.
