Wow, could we stop it with the "IT WAS CUT FROM THE GAME FOR MONEY!!!!! SEE THE AREA IS ON THE DISC!!!!(it has no enemies /gear/story or lack there of all it is a empty map) BUT IS THERE!!!!!" Until someone finds an area complete with enemies/missions/gear/weapons, I will not believe the whole cut from the game thing.

To be fair. The kings watch area on earth does have enemies in it and a yellow bar captain.
-
Lol! But still no missions, objectives or anything!
-
Moving the goalposts, people.

Kings watch on earth
-
But it was cut from the game for more money. Can you stop sucking on bungies nutsack?
-
Haha good one

Cut implies Bungie didn't plan a system like this from day one. The stuff is on the disc to limit download size for the DLC and to act as coding place holders. They didn't code retail discs and then cut the story at launch... They had a plan. The plan is moving forward. Done. Anyone who believes Bungie had a different vision for the game and how they were going to implement its release, DLCs, and content, then what we have now is deluded.

Edited by Ataksia: 1/16/2015 3:22:50 AMI will be honest there is a LOT of speculation. I'm not saying your wrong when I say this but areas like this also limit hardware ability. Why would you have an area on a map that can't be reached when all it does is slow performance? It doesn't logically make sense. And I'm on a 360. I think they would have to at least prevented this from loading onto RAM before it's even givin to us. Therefore I think it was planned and later scrapped for DLC, and all someone did was make the door close and for redundancy make an invisible wall. But it's all speculation. Edit 1: I do not believe the content was placed in the game to limit download size as customers who digitally downloaded this game would have had a longer INITIAL download time on release and I think that would have been a foolish decision on release.

There have things called place holders to keep a spot open for when they have time to develop an area. It's not finished but it's there. Easier to simply finish an area than it is to create a new one. That way the programming for it is already there.
-
well Seeing as you can pre download extra initial download isnt bad at all

Edited by SweetZombieJesus: 1/16/2015 3:33:02 PMThat's not the point. Countless software professionals including myself know this is framework. Place holders for the DLC content. CUT implies this wasn't part of the plan. This is what people are missing, blinded by some crazy YouTube videos and redditors. Bungie and Activision had a plan for this game. You and I may not like it, but this is exactly what they have planned from day 1. Bottom line. They wanted you to pay for a staggered style DLC system. This is one of the most cost effective ways to do it. Framework is there, additional content packages low cost delivery. There is no grand scheme. Conspiracy. Creative differences. They had a plan to make money. This is it.

i will never trust he words of a simple backwoods hyper chicken.

You are wise friend...

Edited by SweetZombieJesus: 1/16/2015 3:37:30 PMNot proof. Place holder for a game that has a staggered DLC system over a long period of time. Nothing was cut. This is their plan. I'm not saying its good or bad. All I'm saying is no one cracked anything. No one stumbled upon a grand conspiracy. They want to make as much money as possible. Framework is there for the DLC... Low cost on delivery. $20. Cha-ching. They didn't code thousands of digital and retail copies and then change their minds before release. That's the worst project management ever... They want to sell you the game this way... Cheap for them expensive for us. Done.
-
It was found like a month after game relase populated with enemys, ghosts, and a boss. You cant explain that.
-
Edited by SweetZombieJesus: 1/16/2015 4:26:52 PMYes I can. They put it there to resell to us easy and cheap. It wasn't launch game stuff. Never was. They want to sell you the game is small portions over a 2 year stretch until the next installment. Repeat. My point is, it wasn't CUT, cut implies another intention. Nope. This was their plan all along. Sell overpriced "expansions" that will unlock content they already made. Done. $$$

This is proof ^
