I would not say that xur is selling anything great, except for the ammo. The titan gloves? same as last week. The warlock gloves? Redundant at best, and most likely will just be worn until something else with light level 36 comes along, and then only if you needed something with a light level of 36. The hunter helm? Meh. Probably great if you are a PVP player. Patience and Time? Really? We are calling that great? It is a pretty good sniper, but it drops in the game too frequently for him to be selling it so much I am happy that he sold the engrams though. Bought 2 and got the Knucklehead w/o buying it, and then got the Helm of inmost light 2.0 My problem with xur is that every week, I buy engrams and heavy ammo if he has it. The weapons are usually shit that most people do not need, or want, and the armor seems to be about the same every week. The upgrades are a ripoff, and should be used for the very best of the weapons only. So, Thorn, Suros, Icebreaker, Gjallerhorn, and maybe MultiTool or something like that. All of the upgraded armor has stats lower than what i have, other than the armor # itself. For me, the Discipline and the Intellect are much more important, than another 50 or so to the armor total. You are better off waiting on a drop or for him to sell the 2.0 version of these things

I buy stuff that benefits me in all facets of the game. I am pvp and pve.
