I hope you're right. However, a 25% increase does not seem to justify all the hours and materials you put into the gun. it should be at least 50% (which may still be too low). I'd rather have all my materials back and spend an extra day or two grinding the exotic. I think most people would take that option if the game somehow presented it to us.

If I could bump that straight to DeeJ, I would. The way they should've reworked the newly implemented exotics into the mix is simple; with the update, the former exotics remain at whatever upgrade capacity they were pre-patch, the skill trees are added as an optional increase, and the new exotics uphold the stock base damage of 300 and reach the same prospective level of damage as the older exotics. The reset is time consuming, but unfortunately a necessary evil.

  • I'm a little confused; doesn't your agreement with me contradict your criticisms of the people complaining about the patch? The solution I thought would work well is if the newly acquired (higher powered) exotic came from a fully upgraded, old exotic, it should start with its skill tree already half way filled.

The only complaints I have toward those disagreeing with the patch is the fact that their mentalities are about instant gratification, and an unwillingness to put in the work regardless of the situation, when it's their choice to purchase the content and further the franchise. I don't think a complete reset is fair, and I don't like it, but I believe it's for the greater good of the game as opposed to those saying the entire patch is useless and destroyed the game, which it didn't.

  • Yea, I think we are in agreement about the good people and the bad people as well as our thoughts on the patch, but the complaints I feel like I am hearing/seeing on the forums and in-game seem pretty level headed. People seem upset with the same things we are: We invested a whole bunch of time on our exotics, and the people who get those exotics for the 1st time post-dlc will be starting at a very comparable position to us without having to spend the time, effort, or materials to get there.
