Destiny barely has any mmorpg mechanics.
My mmorpg experience
Runes of magic, Tera rising, perfect world, neverwinter, wow, rift, guild wars, aion and the list could go on. I could go in depth but deff. Don't feel like it. Point being Destiny is barely consondered an mmo. They don't even consider thereself an Mmo. There doing there own thing. Js

Massive multiplayer online game. Massive = 3 million+ per day...subjectively interpreted as yes (many traditional MMO's don't touch those numbers) Multiplayer = yes. It can be played solo, however, it is clear it was developed to be played with people and most content is inaccessible solo Online = yes always It is a MMO. RPG/fps. It's own special kind of MMO, but it fits the bill.

Sortave but it's not massive... You can have what up to 20ish people in the tower at a time and up to 12 pvp. Plus Bungle therselves don't consider it an mmo. Massives when there's hundreds of players playing on the same map.

True. Large scale team based objective playing is not in this game. But many many people log in every day and play. Not traditionally "massive". That's why I clarify with subjectively interpreted, if you look at it from a micro scale, it is not "massive". Macro scale, yes it is. Depends on your point of view and what you WANT to see.

All depends on your point of view ^.^ when I think mmo I myself think WoW, and Destiny is none of the sort. I'm kinda ready for the new witcher honestly. Open world.... May be fun ^.^
