Could you convert files from Sketchup into this program? Probably not, but I heard you could transfer maya files, soo...

I used a model I made in Maya for the basic structure. You are able to use Maya because they are both Autodesk programs, I don't know about sketchup though. I advise asking Googwhale on that one.

K, I'm trying to get maya, my schools art program lets students download it for free. It's kinda weird though, there's some sort of driver issue that prevents me from running it on my laptop.

Try downloading a older version sometimes Autodesk can be gay and have glitches in anything past 2013. Maya Is incredible but you should also look into 3DS Max. That and Maya go hand in hand.

Yeah students should be able to get Maya for free, but you need a pretty good laptop if you want to run it.
