what's the best story in a video game you've ever seen
What's the best story you've seen in a video game consider characters, depth, and details. My personal favorite is Starcraft (all of them) I really cared about the characters and you found out all the story!
Edit: wow 500+ replies this is insane I'm glad you guys like this topic right now I think the leader is probably in general final fantasy or mass effect
Edit: 800+ replies I never knew people would take about this so much I've been seeing lots of FFXI or FFXII and lots of mass effect and the last of us

Halo universe as a whole but halo 4 in particular. The underlying story between chief and cortona is sweet, profound, and it's the saddest moment I've ever seen in a game.
