Lmao, you're the reason why female gamers don't play. Do you know how hard it is to find people who don't freak out when they hear a girl chatting on the other end of the mic?? It's like, really, you've never heard a female talk before?
Another thing. Most of the guys I've come across are creeps. It's like yes, I'm a girl, can I just play the game normally and just have fun? No? Okay.

I must always be in the right groups as any time a female plays, or I invite a female friend to play there's never someone flipping out. Well there was this one time a random did on wow, but he was immediately removed and banned from our raiding.

While I rarely hear girl gamers in games, when I meet one, I don't freak out or whatever. You're just another human being, after all.

It's an immature stereotype. Those that also freak out, play along with the stereotype. Sad to say but it seems like a lot of male gamers feel they have something to prove or live up to when they hear a girl. When you meet chill people just add them to form fireteams from then on. I haven't touched on the other side because I don't really feel like debating :P

I've run into several females while playing over the years and I always have to mute them because they(at least the majority I've had an experience with) always want to flirt with the "hottest" sounding guy on the team...I would like for girls to play and just be normal not cyber skanks

Pretending that a girl gamer isn't a rarity is folly... you shouldn't be surprised at this point... it's not out of disdain or disrespect, but out of surprise... if you play a game that's all girls and then a guy shows up, the same reaction will occur...
