Those who "AFK" strikes
Is anything going to be done about them? I just did a strike to kill whatshisname on Earth. It was me and another guy with one dude just sitting in the back doing nothing.
We wiped once and when he spawned next to us he just ran to safety, so I know he was there.
This is the 4th time someone has been doing this today.

Not much they can do about it, there are people that legitimately suck at the game (not that the guy in your strike wasn't just being a douch) and any limiters they put in would potentially grab innocent people.

With all of the strikes I do I'm lucky to not have to deal with afk people that much. One person maybe every 5 strikes or so and hardly ever have two people go afk at once. When it happens with one person, I just continue on with the strike with the person that is actually playing and eventually either the afk'r will leave or catch up. Never have I had this happen in consecutive strikes.

7 Replieswhen i have another friend on a fireteam and there is a random we wiat to see if they move if they dont move after 2-3 min we report them and then leave and restart the strike. only thing you can really do for now is report them and then on xbox add them as a avoided player. idk if your able to do report them via console on PS havent played PS sense PS 2

3 RepliesIt's very rare. Sometimes I run off with my dog. But if I make it back before I'm kicked for idle. I make up by going hard and killing at 200% lol

4 RepliesHere's what I do, don't start progressing through the strike till you see the other players are moving. If they don't move at all or show incentive of doing the strike, report and leave..

Edited by Dooodley: 10/18/2014 6:44:14 PMI have an AFK or semi-AFK player in basically every strike. It's the worst when there's a daily for not dying in a strike, like today. I ran one strike today and it was basically me against the summoning pits. One guy dropped before the reward screen so not sure how many kills he had but he was always far behind me, usually hiding, and never used anything other than a sniper (it should be added that i never skipped anything so he wasnt behind because I was rushing) . I can't imagine that he had more than 20 kills in a game where I had 143. The third guy didnt even enter the instance. Now, I thought that he was just standing still but when the reward screen came up it turned out that he had 71 kills. He had gotten them on the surface of the Moon, probably while farming heliums while the rest of us (read:me) cleared the strike. The kicker, I had no deaths either. This despite working on a new pistol and having the sniper dude spawning a bunch of extra adds by camping in the entry areas of zones.

Set a penalty time delay to those that go afk on their next strike.

This is an issue. Though i have really no issue if only 1 person is afk, but when i get 2, i just leave. Strikes can be done with 2 people, but when its just you, not worth the time

This has happened to me many times....

9 RepliesEasy fix, just sit in front of their view, and go AFK..they will leave eventually. Or leave him in there by himself. But be sure to go to details by clicking on his name, and report him for all categories that are fitting.

5 RepliesSometimes things happen in life that make you go AFK. Like an important phone call or conversation. I've had important calls in the middle of strikes where I've had to go AFK and hide for a couple minutes. Even now I have the flu and need to run to the bathroom to...well...you know. So I am AFK for a few minutes. Let's stop assuming the worst in people.

I'd rather play solo and let some guy who is so bad at the game he has to leech a simple strike stay in the match, rather then let them ruin my match completely. I mean really, if you're sitting there leeching then I can only feel sorry for you because you are really, REALLY bad at this game.
