Well... if it wants the darkness in our brains so badly, why when rupturing did it kill humans by the thousands... I'm sure there could have been another way to infect us without having to kill us and then revive us.. Anyway there is something amiss with the Traveler for sure..

Well... to me this looks like an atemp from the Hive to infect a Guardian. Because the infected stuff on the helmet looks like the stuff on the walls of the Hive territory.
