Is PS4 Really Better?
I want some honest opinions and valid reasons to back it up. This is not a console war or flame bait by any means. All my friends picked up Destiny on PS4 and I'm thinking of trading off my XB1 to join them. But I need more than just Destiny to convince me. Thanks for your help in advance.

Edited by DubST3Rized: 8/28/2014 8:35:51 PMAs its been shown a million times, PS4 has a SLIGHT advantage. The overall reason i prefer the PS is i dont need all the other junk thats on the Xbx. I buy a gaming console for gaming. The cosmetics of the PS is a nice touch, as well as the new controller design. The Xbx controller was the only thing that i felt was better than the PS and thats no longer an issue.

Edited by Buzzkiller: 8/28/2014 7:02:21 PMIf you look at it from a pureley technical standpoint the PS4 is more powerful than the XBone. Some games will look a little better on the PS4. The rest is all relative. Exclusive games, media features, the controller, and each system's network can all be seen as strengths or weaknesses depending on your personal likes and dislikes. I recommend going with your friends.

I play the beta no my Ps4 and my X1 i saw some graphic diffenrence but not enough to switch console but i had a better feeling on the Ps4 controller.I gonna play it on X1 since all my friend are on xlive[spoiler] i preorder on both[/spoiler]

Go with your friends. I've played both consoles, and if you enjoy the whole "future of home entertainment stuff", then Xbox is your thing. If you want a console that's purely for games, PS4's your thing. But really, if all your friends are going to PS4, I see no reason not to join them.

Edited by MajorCrabs: 8/28/2014 4:57:13 PMThe difference between consoles can be summed up by gum! Imagine you have a stick of gum in your mouth and your friend asks for some. So you give him 15/16 of a stick of gum. Technically you have the bigger piece of gum but in reality neither of you can tell since you will be chewing it and blowing bubbles. My advice is get the gum flavour you like or maybe try the gum your friends are chewing. In the end neither of you will notice the difference in terms of size.

Get the console your friends get. Both consoles function the way they're meant to. It doesn't really matter. However... If you really want to get into Destiny, the PS4 is arguably the better console, [u]purely[/u] because it will be receiving more content sooner. Overall, both consoles get exclusive or early content from a plethora of games, the PS4 just happens to be receiving such content from Destiny.

Everything else is just extra but nice to have. XB1's exclusives consist mostly of IPs owned by Microsoft and many games previously exclusive have become unexclusive. PS4 has more 3rd party exclusives coming.

Also the differences seen before don't matter since xbox released an update to devote the kinect's 3 gb of ram back to the remaining 5gb. Since then all cross platform games have the same quality. Ps4 has a cheaper subscription. But it's only 10 dollars a year lower and if you can't pay a 10 a year difference you have bigger problems. Xbox live is better than the playstation network. More stable and organized. X1 dashboard is more complicated especially the friends list if your adding a high quantity of people at the same time. There is also no browser for the game store, but that can be fixed with a small update. However, that's the dashboards only real flaws. Ps4 looks better in my opinion, but has a cooling problem from the lack of fans leading to a similar 360 problem leading me to question it's longevity. X1 and ps4 controllers are vast improvements over their predecessors. If I had to tip one way it would be x1 simply because I prefer letters over geometry. (Not a reason you should care about) Yes the kinect's voice commands are neat and make navigating easy. But if you don't like to talk to yourself like me you will just use a controller. Dude... Just buy the one with the games you like and where your friends are.

Both consoles are good. Buy the console you see yourself having more fun on. That's all that really matters.

(Not a fanboy) I was quite excited when both the PS4 and XB1 came out but here is why I chose XB1 over PS4: Service - 10/10 on service and even on previous consoles I have never encountered a problem. Most people are strategic - Ah yes, many 8 y/o's scream into your ears but the other 75% of the population who don't let you know where there is combat situations and where to stand guard. Controller - Just preferred over the Dualshock 4's. (My preference) But the PS4 has many options that are great as well: More RAM - VERY important in many games as it helps make games more smooth. The Games - The PS exclusives are AMAZING this year (and Possibly years to come) along with the decent games for free each month. Better Graphics - I could care less about this because let's be honest, nobody can tell between 900p and 1080p All in all just go where your buddies go. I went with the $500 XB1 because that's where my friends went. Games are meant to be played with friends. Hope some of this helped weigh your decision.

I can also say that my roomate has an xbox one... which he is also thinking about selling because all he really uses it for is movies. We do the majority of gaming on the ps4 simply because it is cheaper, better, faster, and hell... even looks good. I still love microsoft... but they lost me ever since they tried to pull that always connected kinect crap during the launch of the system. On a side note... if you choose to buy an xbox one... buy my roomates, lol.

The PS4 is more powerful the Xbox1, but personally it feel like it comes down to preference the PS4 is good I just feel more comfortable with the Xbox1 I more used to it I guess.

I have and love both. But in reality the ps4 is more powerful it's just a fact. That said I play both but my ps4 gets used more mostly cause more of my friends are on psn. As far as networks go they both had issues this weekend. When all is said and done the games draw me to both.
