He actually doesn't say that at all. If you read his words carefully, he repeatedly refers to not owning the Tomb Raider IP, not the one specific game.

"Yes, the deal has a duration," Xbox boss Phil Spencer told Eurogamer. "I didn't buy it. I don't own the franchise."
-
He still references the Tomb Raider franchise, not the specific game. The odds of it coming to PS4 after a couple of years are probably pretty high, but that particular interview proves nothing.
"Yes, the deal has a duration,"
Yes, exactly. Never were the details of what 'the deal' actually refers to made clear. Phil could have just as easily be interpreted as meaning 'the deal runs out after this one game'. Individual sentences out of context are not a coherent argument and I strongly suspect that you're actually just trolling me now.
-
Holy shit you're dumb. Stop trying to perform mental gymnastics. RotTR is a timed exclusive, and was very apparent even before it was confirmed to be timed by Phil Spencer. You're one of the only people still trying to make out it's a permanent exclusive like an idiot.

Phil has confirmed it is timed, and everyone knows it's timed. The only one who's misinterpreting it is you. Nice one.

He pretty much said it and references games like Ryse and Dead Rising 3, Both of which came to a different platform later on and the same thing will be happening with Tomb Raider.
-
Both of which are coming to PC, which has never been factored in when discussing console exclusivity. Phil Spencer's comments were vague, whereas the official statement from Crystal Dynamics ( ) seems pretty clear. It looks most likely that the 1 game is exclusive but no such deal is in place for the rest of the series. I'd imagine that it will come out on PS4 eventually, but only in the same manner as Mass Effect, which eventually hit other platforms as part of a compilation, but only several years after initial release.
-
Nah, I'm going with the game being timed and will be coming to other platforms in a year or two max.
-
From the way Crystal Dynamics are talking (and the fact that Sony have felt the need to take a shot at MS about it since the announcement) I wouldn't be so sure. But hey, we'll find out eventually :D Don't get me wrong, I'd kinda prefer everything to be multi format, but that'll never happen.
-
You'd be wrong. SE has been complaining about game sells for the last TR. MS hands them a ton of money to be exclusive for a bit, but by 2016 it should be out on every platform.
-
You can't possibly know that for certain. It's possible that you are correct, but at the moment the evidence suggests otherwise. The fact of the matter is that Phil Spencer worded his statement to reference the IP, never addressing the individual game, and the only statement that was even remotely clear came from Crystal Dynamics themselves. This was meant to show in my last post but I clearly messed up the formatting:

“Yes, the deal has a duration. I didn’t buy it. I don’t own the franchise,” said Spencer Tomb Raider is a game that sits at home on the PS. The Definitive edition was released for the PS4 as well. When the deals expires it will be on the Playstation.
