Let's hear it guardians, what race would you like to explore the universe of Destiny as? Get that creativity flowing.
I personally love the idea of a Tiger/Human race like the Vah Shir from EQ: Shadows of Luclin (old school).

I'd like to see the actual races mean something... From what I could tell, I got no perks for being an Awoken... Strength, ability, speed, etc, should be affected depending on your particular choice of species. The robots should have more technological advancements, the Humans more strength, the Awoken should have more intelligence or magick... Whatever works...

I chose other, I wanna play as a 4 armed fallen that switched sides so I can dual wield auto rifles and straight up wreck everything in sight. Falling that I'd like to see intelligent zombies. Resurrect some dead guardians and set em loose. "Your fight isn't over simply because you lost your life guardian!"

The Enlightened( I'm liking that name from the comments :-) ), the Space Dwarves of old. When, the Darkness began to take hold in Humanities solar system, the Enlightened hid in their mineral rich asteroids, Earth's furthest colonies, and forged weapons to aid humanities' front against the Darkness. As the Darkness continued to take hold of humanities' world, some Enlightened dabbled in the arts of the Darkness, believing that one can only defeat the enemy by knowing the enemy. As they continued on this treacherous road, many leaders were corrupted by the Darkness and marred the honor and glory of the Enlightened. Their mines and factories began to decay as they were forgotten by their once legendary leaders. Their people and society began falling in a spiral of Darkness that threatened to destroy them... But, flickers of the Travelers light were reported in the the inner worlds. Many saw hope once again at the source of the Traveler's light, Earth, their original home. Many sent their children off to fight the Darkness once again. With their communications severed after the collapse, the Enlightened did not know what to expect in there home world. After arriving on Earth, many Enlightened gathered together and made factions in themselves to rid the Earth of the Darkness and its filth. But, it was too early... Most of the brave Enlightened fell by the numerous and powerful forces of the Darkness. The Traveler's light had not reached that far around the Earth, as the City was only just being built. Finally, the Traveler's Ghost reached these long dead members of humanity. They were revived by the Traveler's light. But, they still retained their knowledge of their once powerful homeland. The dabbling of the Darkness, their leaders participated in. The raw power the Darkness holds. Thus they had the the knowledge if both Light and Darkness. Thus, they were Enlightened... Become Legend Guardians and sorry for the text wall :-)

1 ReplyAm I the only one who thinks we're good on races? Three races three classes seems like a good fit. Besides, an alien race would seem shoehorned in at this point.
