Trading will turn this game into borderlands 2 where loot has absolutely NO value whatsoever because what's the point of doing the raid on the highest difficulty to get good loot of you could just ask some duper or farmer for it and don't give me the "people will have to level up to get it because lvl 20 really isn't that high of a cap no offense to bungie go back to borderlands you little A-Hole.

Deej says loot is more of rewards for actions and if they do put loot trading in it will get abused and the games ultimate reward will no longer become the ultimate reward if everyone has it.
-
I watched the video back in June. The point is that the idea has been looked at before. It is entirely possible to still conjure up a trading system in a future update like they originally planned.
-
If it ever happens they need to make it not a very viable method of getting loot because then what's the point of the raid answer that question hmmm?
-
The point of the raid, as Deej said in the video you linked, is to have the best gear already at hand while working together with 5 other guardians to complete an extraordinary test.
-
But the main thing along side that is to get the ultimate reward whatever it shall be. not just asking some dude for it if you don't want to do it. You should be like "you know what i kinda want that" if a borderlands style system is implemented it goes from "i need to do the raid!" to " hey dude can you give that gear please"
-
Who says the reward from that event would even be traded? If it's that rare, then guardians will keep it for themselves. However, if the item does repeat itself and you have a chest full of it, then why bother holding onto multiple duplicates of that item? Also, with the way the current loot system is, what if you did the worst during the raid and kept dying during that final encounter, and you're the guardian rewarded with an exotic item. Is that really a reward to cherish? "I kept dying during the final fight while everyone else pushed the enemy back, but hey, I got the rare item!"

I heard the leveling was actually increased in the beta to get to 8 faster but we will also have motes of light to get past 20
-
I can see the leveling system thinned out for the beta, with the main game being much more of a grind to surpass the final character levels.
-
Ya guessing that way it just takes longer for people to get bored wanting that max level
-
After that, you have the challenge of leveling up two other classes, each with their own unique subclass. You can definitely be playing Destiny for quite some time.
-
I guess they found a good way to expand time played

All for the betterment of the game, and we don't even know what else waits within the Destiny universe.
