I have two girls I kind of want to approach. One is my friends ex, and the other I work with. My friends ex is pretty cool. She likes anime and is kind of a loner like myself. It would be nice to have someone who kind of understands the loner life. It doesn't bother me that my friend dated her because he told me that he has no feelings at all for her. What kind of does bother me is that shes done everything, and I haven't done anything. Plus shes kind of hard to talk to. I want to try and talk to her more but it's like pulling teeth. I also worry that if I do go out with her that it would be awkward since I haven't done anything with a girl. I'm not really sure what to do. The girl at work is cute, and seems like my type but shes a party girl. I'm not really a party person, so this kind of bothers me. Plus if I asked her out and she said no then it would be awkward working with her. I'm not really sure what to do there either. Any advice?

Any advice?[/quote] Regarding the first girl, are you friends with her already? How long has it been since your friend broke up with her, and how strong would you say your friendship is with him? Also, if you want to be able to have a chance with a girl, communication is critical. Why do you think it is difficult to talk to her? Additionally, I'm sure that you not having much 'experience' with girls shouldn't affect her very much, unless that's all she really cares about. Regarding the second girl, have you ever seen her outside of work? Would you say that you're friends with her? Doing something as simple as asking if she'd like to have lunch or go out for coffee can easily help your chances to build a stronger friendship.

  • 1st girl: My friend broke up with her a long time ago, and said it was cool if I tried to date her so that's no issue. I don't know if we're friends but we know each other have talked a bit. I try to talk to her but it just seems like she doesn't want to talk. I'll ask her "How's school going?" and she just answers "good" or one word answers like that. It just seems like she doesn't want to talk about her self. Maybe I'm just asking the wrong questions. And the experience thing worries me because then I'll wonder whens the right time to make a move. 2nd girl: I haven't seen her outside of work. I don't think we're friends. I may ask her to coffee though, thats a good idea.

I've texted girls before where they would respond the same exact way that you're talking about. Also, whenever I would ask if they're free to hang out, they would say they're busy or just not respond. Has this happened to you frequently? 2nd girl: That's great, go for it, you'll never know until you try. I'm sure if you give the impression that, at first, you're just asking her to hang out as friends, that she would have no trouble with it. If you show that you're expecting too much too soon you might make her nervous and unknowingly push her away.

  • I doubt the first girl is interested in me though. I'm not sure how to make myself interesting.

  • 1st girl: I haven't talked to her in a long time, and I don't really remember how are interactions outside of text was. I think I'll message her on Facebook again and try to talk to her. Hell I may ask her to coffee. 2nd girl: I may go for it. I don't know her being a party girl really bothers me and is sort of a no no, but I just find her so cute.
