The "recoiling breach assembly" was a danger, eh? When firing a handgun, something similar can happen where part of the gun comes sliding back and can skin you hand if you hold it wrong. You can't just pick up a gun and start shooting like an idiot. There are safety precautions that you have to know about. In fact I bet a lot of people posting zombie apocalypse threads don't even know where the button to unload the magazine is located.

Hah, yeah. I think more tankers and AT gunners lost more hands/fingers while loading then were injured by the breech recoil though.

Well I'm sure not many people were stupid enough to stand too close to the breech recoil although when loading heaving material, you're constantly in harm's way.
