Here is the problem, by holding rigid beliefs that contradict each other, it ends up being a completely pointless ideology. Something I see working in R&D all the time. Always want you to make a product cheaper, perform better, and easier to manufacture. Sadly, you get to a point where you can't have all of them. You have to sacrifice one for another. That's why for the few weeks the tea party was given control of the agenda, the government shut down. They cannot agree to anything because it is near impossible to satisfy this list.
2. Pro-domestic employment is indispensable.

6. Government must be downsized.
Firing the public payroll does what for domestic jobs?
2. Pro-domestic employment is indispensable.

9. Bailout and stimulus plans are illegal.
Again, do you want American jobs, or a cheaper, more popular foreign made car.
7. The national budget must be balanced.

3. A strong military is essential.

10. Reducing personal income taxes is a must.

11. Reducing business income taxes is mandatory.
Any one of these is a massive expense, and we already run huge deficits. Can't slash your income, pay more for military, and expect the math to work out.
4. Special interests must be eliminated.

5. Gun ownership is sacred.
Should have combined these to into "Eliminate special interests, except the NRA"
13. Intrusive government must be stopped.

14. English as our core language is required.

15. Traditional family values are encouraged.
Intrusive government must be stopped, except when it come to you having sex or speaking. We own your bedroom. Also, classy to leave out any mention of any human rights other than owning guns.

 • what's so wrong with an ESL requirement? it doesn't ban other languages... merely says that you can't be pissed off if someone doesn't speak your language because you don't speak English. every group that comes to the US adapts so why should any one particular group get special privileges? i read 15 differently... not as anti-gay but anti single parent/entitlement-gangbanger culture

It's just hypocritical. They want to let the free market decide what banks fail, what is acceptable pollution, and what the lowest wages are. Why not let free market decide what language to write things in, or what kind of sex to have? It's just weird they want complete deregulation of business, but more regulation of culture.
