I have yet to see whether split screen multiplayer is in the game. I want to see what people think about having in the game.

6 RepliesEdited by RANMAN10: 1/27/2014 12:53:41 AMIt is likely that with the amazing graphical progress they have accomplished in Destiny, the older gen consoles(Xbox 360 & PS3) will not be able to carry that much processing power, even with the fact that the graphics will be brought down some. I do think that the next gen consoles will be able to handle it. Besides, Bungie has stated many times that Destiny is all about playing with your friends. Perhaps if Destiny still does press the abilities of the new systems, split screen will be allowed just in campaign. Who knows. All I know is, Bungie won't settle for anything but the absolute best experience that is available to them. If it's possible, it will happen.

3 RepliesI want it badly. I'll play this game either way and won't mind too much, but I want to be able to play with others on the same couch as me.

Now, Destiny is the exact example of what will happen to future gaming. All online. Only single player. They will force us to buy multiple televisions, consoles, and disks in order to play with our friends and families. This is the future. They will begin to leave last-gen consoles behind, and nothing will be in their way. We may be gamers, but truly, we have no power on our own. We need to band together, and bring the fight to them! 3 RepliesMy wife and I love playing Halo together and we want to be able to continue playing together when Destiny arrives. I can understand that it would be difficult or impossible to support if the two Guardians were to be in different locations in the world. I see no good reason to disallow split screen if you force the two players to be in the same fire team and stay within the same loaded map/region as each-other. Kinda like in Halo if you pass a load point it teleports a player forward.
