Anyone who takes or has took a physics class....

So community, I'm wondering about the difficulty of my physics honors class. A yes or no is actually pretty much all that's needed. http://lhs-sfusd-ca.schoolloop.com/file/1239686294899/2125555580721819519.pdf So this is my physics work. And it's impossible to do, apart from 3-4 of them. One and two are fine and dandy, but for example, 5-10 might as well be calculus. Really. They look perfectly easy until you realize you have to use whatever equivalent is suggested at the end of each paragraph and put it in the equation. Once you do that then this becomes impossible, does anyone have stuff as difficult as this?

  • As long as you know the proper conversions and definitions for all those variables (Joule, Watt, Newton, etc.) it shouldn't be too hard. And if that is an honors class, then I guess that's one less class for me to fear taking next year. Thanks :)

  • Actually, I might see the problem, the paper uses seconds squared for speed.

  • Holy shit, they practically give you the answer. They're asking you to simulate the actions of a calculator.

I took one look at that and noped out of there. I couldn't even take a semester of third period regular physics. Nope.

    • It's not the physics fault, you just aren't working hard enough/don't have a math-oriented brain. My suggestion: study twice as much as you do right now, I'm not good at college level mathematics, but I can get good grades by studying my ass off.

    • How does using the suggested equations make solving the problems impossible? Most of those reduce to simple equations where you just need to make sure the units work out. And yes, people do have homework that difficult... but most of the time it's even more challenging. Don't be discouraged though, I'm sure you'll figure it out!

      • *OP is essentially told what to do, but still says it is hard.* *Laughs at OP for thinking his physics class is even remotely hard.* OP come back to me when you do all the assigned HW and understand everything taught perfectly fine, but the test might as well be in Greek and I don't speak Greek. Even better if passing is something like a 40 in the class then it is hard. So yeah OP in case you don't understand by this point your class is for babies imo and isn't even remotely hard.

        • They're holding your hand by giving you the equation to use and all the values needed to solve for the unspecified value, but you're honestly having trouble with them? Physics Honors was like the easiest class I've ever taken in High School, and considering this looks easier than even that because of the hand-holding, I'm kind of worried about your math skills.
