As excited as I am for DA:I, it's slightly annoying we'll be switching characters again. I thought Hawke was supposed to be the sort of "Commander Shepherd" for the Dragon Age franchise. Also it seems like the franchise is all over the place in terms of story - first Dark Spawn, then Mages vs. Templars, now demons. It sounds like it will be good, and that they're bringing back things from the first people enjoyed but I guess we'll have to wait and see what else is in store.

I thought the Grey Warden would be the "Commander Shepard" for the series.

Hmm, I've never played Dragon Age: Origins is it really good?
-
It's brilliant. It has turn based combat, which I'm not usually a fan of, but I like it in DA:O.
-
Oh, cool! I loved KOTOR which Votable here says is like Dragon Age, but either way...

Edited by BritLemon: 8/15/2013 2:17:24 AMThey story is also brilliant. The lore behind the game is pretty rich considering it's only the first game (Dragon Age II is a cancer to the franchise.)

Lol I heard DA2 was pretty bad...
-
Compared to Origins... Yeah.

It's kinda like the old RPG StarWars games, since they were Bioware made, as in its auto attack when you click the interaction button but you control you character & allies and use their abilities. It's, in my opinion, good and fun. And I feel like you have a deeper bond with your character 'cause you choose your origin. A noble human son/daughter, an elf in the city or in a tribe in the wilds, a dwarf thug or son of a noble, or kept inside a tower by Templars because you're a Mage. And good characters. And like Bioware game; KEY CHOICES.

I had the original KOTOR games and lived those, so thanks for telling me!

No problem.

Uh hawke was forgettable at best, the Warden commander>hawke.

Okay, it's been a while since I played any of the games and I forget a bunch of the lore. Guess I'm going to have to do some reading up before the next one comes out.
