I spent [i]hours[/i] trying to do it, and it obviously never worked. ...and since the day I realized it was a lie, I've dedicated my life to hunting down and destroying that son-of-a-bitch. A lot of kids in my school told me rumors, and/or lies about things in Pokemon, but it was a long, long time ago. I can't remember it in detail.

5 RepliesI've never been tricked, but I did feed my friend tons of bullshit back in the day. I once told him there was a "Pokemon cloning facility" in Pokemon Firered and Leafgreen. He totally believed and he genuinely tried to find it.

If you hold/tap B then your pokemon will do more damage. I think that was more of a superstition than a bold-faced lie though.

When Dark Souls came out two of my friends were convinced that if you got high enough in the gravelord covenant you could become a lich. The all time best is the Pendant though. An entire populace of gamers destroyed by a developers words lol.

my friend said that if you show up 10 minutes before launch #100 would happen you'd be offered a rocket ride up to the moon in a little cutscene, you'd then be on the moon which looked like meteor falls, where there was 5 patches of grass, where if you had Rayquaza, Deyoxys would appear for a battle, if you had Groudon, you'd face the proto-groudon from the jirachi movie, and if you had kyogre you'd face jirachi... man I wish it was real.

not gaming related but i fell for it being uneducated in the subject matter at the time, I bought a spikey ball that lights up and is attached to an elastic string. someone convinced me it was a dildo and got me to say it in class. if there is a Robert Knox from Scotland in this thread. -blam!- YOU. If you mash the a button the load times are quicker.
