People say if Germany was left alone.. they would be the most technological country in the world today. As well as the poteintial overlords of this world too.

Yeah if Germany started the war 2 years later and focused on this technology the rest of the world would be very far behind.

It would have also given Russia more time to build up their army in peace as well as better prepare launching their overwhelming invasion against Europe.

Pfft, the Russians were no where near that even in 1941.

They were way more prepared than the Russians in many ways. It can be said that the Russians planned there whole defense in depth, by relying on the men at the front to delay for as long as possible, but the Russian military was no where near as prepared.

Stalin didn't believe Germany would attack Russia - at least not as early as 1941. Stalin didn't listen anyone who tried to warn him about the Germans preparing to attack them. When Barbarossa was launched Stalin couldn't believe Hitler had betrayed him and he locked himself for days or weeks without seeing anyone.
