This is the result of Obama wanting to have socialized health care but still wanting to cater to the Republicans' wanting of a capitalist health care system.
He should have just gone right ahead and implemented an actual socialized health care, similar of that to the NHS.

Of course it was, but Obama care sure hasn't helped (judging from what others have said) has even increased the cost of healthcare.

Obamacare isn't even in full effect yet. Give it time.
