The idea that your friends or yourself can put waypoints on the minimap would be awesome but the distress beacons I don't know I would be scared to use it on some chances some ass hats would just come over and screw me over if they could.

That could prove problematic... Maybe no distress beacon then?

It could be problematic, but I'm just saying I wouldn't use it but if other people are willing to use it I'm not stopping them from using it.
