The only problem I have with that is some people on the other side of the world will be playing at night 90% of the time. Since it is a shared world I would assume that the time is the same for everyone so if it is night in the game it might be day where you live in real life so you would probably be playing at night every time you get on.
I'd guess that the time Destiny is based off of will either be Pacific or zulu.

There's no way it'd link to the real world cycle. Some gamers only play at night, others only during the day, sure some mix it up, but the majority of players would be stuck in one or the other. Most likely, it'll be five minutes to the hour or even less.

Edited by Nyx Moontide: 3/13/2013 6:52:09 PMYou're assuming that the day/night system will be matched exactly with our real time. Most games with day/night cycles do it much faster, from anywhere to two cycles per day, to a day/night cycle every hour. I'd guess it will cycle completely through day/night a few times per day, if not more, so that it won't matter where on Earth you are playing from. They do take that kind of thing into account.

Ok that makes sense. I didn't think about having a faster cycle.
