I don't understand why this is so special. Anyone with access to a CNC mill has been able to make their own (more reliable) lowers for years.

CNC is pretty much the same in my books. But this is printed out of plastic from a computer with a file you can download from the internet. That is impressive.

I'm talking about all the people who, whenever this story is mentioned, freak out and start worry about people downloading the plans to make their own guns.
