I thought we already have something beyond SSJ 3, SSJ 4.
Besides, it'll go how it always goes. His friends are gonna get the crap kicked out of them, Goku's gonna get beat up, he'll go god mode or find some 'hidden power' and somehow overcome the enemy.
They need to get rid of Goku, I want Gohan to take his place.

It wasn't made by Akira Toriyama, and in fact Dragonball Online (which he is directly involved with) kind of overwrites it.

They tried after Cell. Fans got buttmad. Toriyama brought Goku back.

Lolpeerpressurenointegrity He might have been able to satisfy both agendas if he still kept goku around, but I'd still rather have Gohan take the mantle.

Yeah, but then then towards the end they built up Gohan as the hero again with the Ultimate Gohan form (or whatever it was called). And then at the height of that arc they just went "lolnope he got absorbed immediately!"
