Can someone please explain to me what we should do to a captured terrorist if we needed information to potentially save 1000's for a terrorist attack?
The terrorist are a different type of enemy. They shit all over the Geneva convention.

Fun shit: Torture doesn't even give reliable information, people will say whatever their captors want to hear during it in order to make it stop. Remember the guy who said water boarding wasn't torture and said he'd go through it in order to prove it wasn't a big deal? Guess what he didn't even last 5 seconds before he called it off and admitted he was wrong. He even said he'd tell the people anything they wanted to hear in order to make it stop. Torture doesn't work broski, don't even try and pretend it does.

Perhaps you should crack open a history book and look at all the decades of the US interfering in the affairs of Middle Eastern affairs, overthrowing democratically elected leaders and installing dictators based on how useful they are to us, arming and training terrorists because it was beneficial to our interests at the time, and generally trampling on their sovereignty.

If that doesn't work, then follow standard military procedures. There's no reason to torture him. This isn't the movies. We don't magically catch terrorists right before an attack, torture them, and then be given accurate and reliable intel that can be used to stop the bomb with 15 seconds left on the clock. Or we can threaten them with a gun to their face and say cough up now or we will blow your brains out. If they cough up and we investigate and they told us the truth we will treat them with respect, if they lied we kill them. I don't want 1 cent of my tax dollars to go to feeding terrorist prisoners who are there being useless.
