It's all fake and scripted
It isn't "fake". The blood is real, the athleticism is real, the high flying jumps are real, the moves are real. It is however scripted, just like a movie, are you telling me just because it's scripted it isn't entertaining?
People enjoy it because it's entertaining, they like to see people fight, they like to see people jump off ladders and into tables. It's IRL action.
There's your appeal.

You're saying that like they're not synonyms. They totally are. I can use one word or the other in the exact same place, and it still means the same thing. It's fake. It's scripted. It's stupid.

Depends on what you mean by it.
It's fake.
Nope.
It's scripted.
Yes.
It's stupid.
Cool opinion.

Edited by Anjin: 1/30/2013 7:14:41 PMScripting events and faking events are the same thing. If I punched you in the face it would be different than a director telling us both that I was going to punch you in the face. You'd know it's coming, and be completely prepared. Also thanks for pointing out my opinion; I wasn't sure what that was originally.

The physical damage is real, it's just acted out. Scripted =/= fake, but I guess it depends on your definitions of "real" and "fake".
Also thanks for pointing out my opinion; I wasn't sure what that was originally.
You're welcome.
