The USA spends 8% of GDP on Medicare and Medicaid. Canada for example spends 8% of GDP to cover everyone. If you want to get more bang for your tax dollars and to cut government spending then you should be for socialized health insurance since it's cheaper. American health costs are the most expensive among industrialized nations.

The tax dollars you pay that go towards Medicaid and Medicare can be reformed to cover all. So either you're paying the same if you pay for absolutely no insurance or you're paying less.

Let me make it clear again. If you want your tax dollars, which you rightfully care about, to have more bang for their buck and you want medical costs slashed in like half then you'd want socialized health insurance, which by the way is not what the UK has. That's outright socialized medicine which the US doesn't have to do. The two tiered Canadian route would be more acceptable to Americans.
