daz, could you link that video again? I can't find it. Please and thank you.
Until he gets here: abortion reduces crime. People who get abortions usually have pretty legitimate reasons for it. Whether they'd be economically devastated by the situation, it was an accident, they were -blam!-, etc., the would-be person most likely would not have had the most stellar upbringing conducive to being an intelligent, successful, productive member of society. Basically, the idea that potential "world-class athletes, musicians, actors, doctors, scientists, and inventors" are the majority, or even a considerably-sized minority of those non-people who never come to be is just not logically sound.

I agree. I never mentioned anything about abortion, however.

Yes you did. A pro-life individual is someone who is against abortion. I assumed your ideology (very stupid as I thought it may have been) was that we should have lots of sex and that that would get more geniuses into the world. Basically, I thought you were a nutjob. My apologies for misreading.

Edited by YourUncleBob: 1/18/2013 6:52:45 AMTrue. I'm undoubtedly a nutjob of some sort, but I don't think overpopulation is something to encourage. Take the Duggars for instance, I think they are a little TOO pro-life. Can you imagine if every married couple on the Earth had 19 kids? Their 19 kids will likely want to marry and have ridiculous huge families too. As grandparents, they may end up with 100+ kids, grand-kids, and great-grand-kids in their lifetime. That's messed up. People look up to that family.

This one?

That's insightful. I'll have to remember "Freakonomics" so I can link that to a friend if we get on the subject of abortion in the future.
