Morale is so low in this game that entire teams will quit whether they're in the lead or barely lagging behind, At the slightest inconvenience or sign that they have to put in effort or change tactics and actually push, Not many people capture zones anymore, majority of all kills and playstyles i see now, is ability spam, camping and the sudden desperation for heavy ammo. Then you got the egoists bagging whilst using the most basic blueberry tactics ever, i genuinely find it tragic nowadays, playing off meta has always been a "fun challenge" brushing off hidden gems in the vault, but the current state of the game and the current mindset of its players is unbearable, regardless of how skilled you are.
Some of my best matches where ive gotten 35 kills or a 10-25 kill streak are matches that were lost, and some of my worst ones, are matches that were won.
Ive never seen this type of volatile wildcard behavior in a game like this before and ive played alot of shooters from sweats and ximmers in Apex, to movement demons in COD, to whatever the hell splitgate was.
What on gods green earth happened to make people use barely any movement half the time and backpeddle so hard in their spawns that they fall off the map consistently.

2 RepliesI don't understand why my opponents, after seeing there's only two of us left, proceed to stomp us, teabag and shoot our corpses. Followed by a message saying I'm hot garbage. When the shoe is on the other foot I stop. I emote. I explore my surroundings. Chase the local wild life lol. One thing I do enjoy is the I'm Using This Weapon cascade event. I start using a certain off meta weapons and suddenly my opponents do the same. Suddenly most of us are using auto rifles lol

1 ReplyBad meta (pulses, mida, easy to use autos), bad maps which encourage camping, and ridiculous abilities and grenades which encourage pve playstyles within pvp…actual pvp skills like ‘hitting your shots’ is not important anymore Most don’t care anymore, most have left the game anyways…

8 RepliesMorale is a consequence of PvP being completely broken. SBMM is not existing anymore, the so called protection system supposedly working in Control definitely not working as I can tell from being matched to 300k+ kills/2.x+ KDA/Flawless/Glorious players constantly. Not one, not two, many in almost all games. And no, with 1.1 KDA bronze I don't believe I should match them. Add constant network problems with severe if not extreme lag making kills impossible. Maybe cheating but I assume it's more a result of network. Why would or should anyone endure that mess? I am here for fun not suffering from unplayable games or if playable playing nonstop the best of the best sweating like it was eSports championships. MM issues might be a consequence of low player population but technical not. Bottom line player morale is low cause Bungie's working morale having abandoned Crucible entirely is presumably not existing anymore.

1 ReplyIt’s sorta devolving back to how things were in Destiny 1 PvP. The players that are left are the majority of them that had the same quit mentality back then.

1 ReplyIts often hard to tell if people are leaving, or being error coded. The state of PvP in general is that there are either very good players, or not so good... there is much less overlap from where there used to be. PvP overall is fairly solved, so the good players already have their openings and rotations kind of set when they see what the map is. Where the not so good players dont really know where to go, so they kind of stay put close the the closest long lane that they can find until they get pushed... then they panic. I am what I would consider pretty average in PvP, and in GG I felt that in 80-90% of games I was the top player on my team (warlocks). Most would camp in rifts and just sit in lanes and not really participate and not rotate with the better players on the team. Some would leave, but often just sit and wait for the mercy instead. Many games I felt that I could play a solid game, and get 2.5kda while the rest of my team goes negative and gets mercied. I did have my fair share of negative KD games where I just got spawn farmed the whole time. I only left games where I strongly suspected the enemy of cheating or knew that they were a "cheater" when I checked the roster. Many players take the game way too serious when they play, even if they arent a great player. Trash talk or t-bag/disrespect the guys who beat them... its just human nature, and ego. If my enemy has a good game, I often message them after (if they have it available) to congratulate them on their game performance. They often think im being sarcastic, but if I feel that I was well challenged, I like to give credit where its due.

2 RepliesGood post. I’ve played all the pve for this event and thought I would suffer some (7) pvp matches, to complete everything for the title except 30 engrams collected, a true impossibility, why is it there????? I played the entire match as normal and then was disconnected due to network. Network ok in pve. Suffered another match, just wishing it was over. I’ve played solid since D1 was new but could never pvp. I have never faced another guardian that I could come face to face with and defeat them, except when using jotuun. I noticed there were no commendations given at the match end, another sign of morale. Good post

3 RepliesI think people forgot that video games are for FUN. Imo, the best mindset to improve video games is an improvement mindset... "Even though I will lose now, I will win later based on my efforts now." It naturally comforts you when you lose, as winning was never the goal. You feel more rewarded when you win, because it feels "earned". Don't play PVP if the only way you have fun is by winning. If you can't shift your mindset, then you are guaranteed to have an "unfun" game every time you lose.

1 ReplyThis has ALWAYS been this way. They always quit, even if a point behind. And you can't argue with anyone who does that, because they will not let you win that argument. It will always be some excuse as to why.
