Portal still sucks, btw
Just thought I'd let you know that I still think the portal sucks and was one of the worst ideas you idiots ever had. You basically gutted everything worth playing for this bullshit and the player count has plummeted since it was introduced. It's getting so bad that I'm actually timing out for crucible matchmaking in control because it can't find enough people to put together a game. I'd like to play my favorite activities when I want and get loot, not wait until they're featured, then get loot. You ripped won't off just like you ripped us off. Your company deserves to go under.
And we haven't had an iron banner in forever. When the hell are you gonna get on that already? I'm just so frustrated because I know this game can be so much better, but you morons keep nosediving it straight to hell. And marathon sucks too. You have really forsaken your main game for some random bullshit that cost 4 times more than arc raiders to produce and got overshadowed by it. Guess we can call that retribution for abandoning the community that made you so much money. You guys couldn't manage your way out of a flat tire.

The Portal hasn’t done anything to succeed than the pinnacle system I agree with your suggestion. I’ve been really annoyed this system has impacted players time and progression has failed and it’s been getting stealth nerfs and progression rewards on most activities were decreased

1 ReplyI'm starting to think that the portal was supposed to be a low maintenance device put in place so that they could put all their competent developers and resources into Marathon the less competent wishes could do the bare minimum to keep D2 operational. It's the only reason that makes sense as to why they'd go ahead with a system that they found would fail even before D1 launched.

2 RepliesAgree. I also believe the tiered loot system sucks. Bungo apparently brought it in to fix people holding onto certain weapons (like that is the point of a looter shooter, good gun=keep until you find something better) but it doesn't work if you just get to tier 5 and keep a particular weapon. Tiered loot system should go, bring back crafting for seasonal weapons only, allow enhancing to give double perks and bring more raid weapons in, or return those that never came back like Anguish of Drystan

And unfortunately, it's not going away anytime soon. So much of Tiered Loot is baked into how the Portal operates, so if they remove the Portal, then Tiered Loot would have to be completely reevaluated. As long as Tiered Loot is in the game, so will the Portal. Just look at what little has been promised with the June update. Tiered Raid Loot and Exotics. Why would Bungie put resources into a system if they're going to eventually fade it out?

Ironically, because over the same period, Bungie has endeavoured to try to please everyone, and in doing so, finally added the one thing that they [b][i]knew for sure[/i][/b] would destroy the game. [b][u]The Portal[/u][/b] Surely this is unequivocal proof that Bungie, or whoever is pulling their strings, wanted this game to end.

I haven't even touched Renegades yet or played ever since. After I hit 550 idk I just got bored. I've been playing D1 lately cause I still have some raid armor and weapons to get and Class specific missions which I find fun tbh
