Ouch, Marathon is rating worse than Highguard on PS
Highguard, 14k reviews - 3.11 stars. 5 star at 39%, 1 star is 35%
Marathon, 11k reviews - 3.07 stars. 5 stars at 42%, 1 star at 38%
For a reference. Arc Raiders- 51k reviews- 4.25 stars. 5 stars at 74%, 1 star at 14%

After seeing the YouTube reviews I can feel that these are probably fair… I saw the peanuts ridiculous meltdown on x…. He’s so clueless…. A game should be perfectly cooked upon release!

Could be a love it or hate it type of game. The bold visual design brings out strong opinions on both sides before you even get into the grindy and punishing gameplay. Also have to remember people haven’t seen the full game yet. It’s selling well (currently 3rd best selling game on Steam) which suggests it is finding its audience.

3 RepliesThat means 38% of D2 player review bombing the game. It’s F2P at the moment I would not take review at face value. Player count is a tad more informative, but you can’t keep your loot so some people might not stick around for the whole weekend and it’s one map, so I suspect a chunk of the player count drop is just people waiting for the full game now. We’ll see, I doubt they can pull off another D2 vanilla though, these are different times and the segment is much more competitive than D2 when it came out.

I haven't played arc raiders but I find marathon to be an intriguing game. I think it could be successful.
